Craft is an excellent notes, productivity, and AI writing app. However, like most apps, it has room for improvement, particularly regarding its AI models. The local AI features are impressive, but it would be beneficial to include more modern models, such as Qwen 3 with 0.6B parameters for local processing, or Llama 3.3. For cloud-based AI, while Craft already offers GPT-4o, this model feels somewhat dated now. Adding Claude 3.5 Haiku or Claude Opus 4 would be valuable upgrades. Alternatively, if sticking with OpenAI, o4-mini would provide a fast, intelligent, and cost-effective option. Beyond AI capabilities, Craft's interface is stylish and well-deserving of its App Store Design Award. If you want an alternative to Apple's built-in Notes app, or if you don't have a newer iPhone with Apple Intelligence but still want AI-powered note-taking, Craft is an excellent choice.
I recently switched over Notion. I have been a long time Notion user but it has become too commercial and enterprisy. So far I like the Craft experience.
I enjoyed the look and capabilities of this app and wanted to try out. Was told it was a week for trial then payment starts. I just got an alert from my card saying I was charged for $95.99 a year. Requesting refund so I can at least try the product. Thanks!
It took a while to figure out how I wanted to set it up but once I did it really did make things systematized so that I can think document and create. I’m an Apple fan girl too and this gobs of Apple vibes.
My favorite thing about Craft isn’t just that it was a good personal database app when I started using it. (even then, it felt like the more native, refined app I always wanted every time I tried Notion and found myself hating the very “web first” feel of it. It’s that the developers have made wrong turns as they continue to improve it, and they’ve listened when users like me hated the changes. They found ways to keep giving me the experience that brought us here in the first place. I do hope to see less focus on AI moving forward. It’s a frustrating experience that I want no part in. I just want speed, responsiveness, and a great document creating and linking experience. The Mac app feels like it’s suffering more from bloat right now, and editing text is getting worse. But here on iPhone, I’m still loving it, and it pulls me more and more away from typical note taking apps and into Craft where I can link and organize everything to the level I like to. Finding a balance between making it immediate to create a new document, and making it possible to navigate the depths of a ton of organized information, is one of the hardest things I can think of for a notes app, but Craft does this really well. It’s important, and it’s been improving since I started using it. I hope Craft keeps focusing its effort on these kinds of refinements.
I have been using Craft for quite some time now for organizing my photography, artwork, & writing portfolios. There are so many options for creative expression that I cannot name them all. Again, highly recommended! Check it out. ✨⭐️✨
Without you the world would be very complex. Thank you
Go to the source of information where they provide help on how to create documents then download the app on your iPhone. They show two completely different interfaces. It’s like somebody made an app and doesn’t even know how the app looks like on the phone. they created a guide on how to use it on the phone without ever actually downloading it.
