DYMO® LetraTag® Connect

Printer so far seems to be solid. Have one minor request. I use my tablet in landscape often with a keyboard case, be wonderful it the app would allow itself to rotate to follow rather than fixed in portrait.

When I first got the printer this was great. A few IOS updates along and the app now crashes after a few labels when it tries to connect to the printer.

You can copy/paste onto labels which is useful, however needs ability to copy files from one device to another. You can save labels but folder doesn’t appear, and you can’t save to Dropbox etc.

The Roboto font is squished vertically. Not really acceptable considering it’s one of only two available fonts…

Easy to use app it connects really easily with the printer. Good quality stickers too.

The printer is great and the simplicity of connecting and printing something is great. However the choice of fonts etc. is poor. Layout is either squashed e.g. border touching text, or the text is really stretched. Icons you want aren’t there but instead a load you don’t are. Really disappointed in the designs that can be produced.

UPDATE: I’ve contacted support and they say that they are going to fix the squashed text issue by bringing out a new font in the app this month (May 2023), I really hope that’s true. This is a Dymo product, I’d expect a lot better. The labelling machine itself is great and easy to connect and use. The issue I have is that the app is far too basic. Very few fonts and printing seems far too unnatural and stretched. Many silly emojis that are not needed, but very few fonts. I can have more fonts on a Chinese model half it’s price. Come on Dymo, people are paying £40 for this stuff and a Chinese £20 labeller is better. UPDATE THE APP more often ! It seems to me like once you’ve gotten the customers hard earned cash that’s it, you don’t bother to make the app better.

Anything larger than medium makes the letters look squished top-bottom for no reason

The quality of the printer is very good. It’s a shame the app doesn’t match the hardware. There is a plethora of silly emoji symbols but something useful like the diameter symbol is omitted. Really useful to have a diameter symbol when sorting screws etc. A proper choice of true-type fonts would be handy too rather than larger and more stretched. I doubt anyone from DYMO reads the reviews so thought it’s only fair to comment so you don’t get disappointed with a near £50 purchase.
