This app use to be about $34 which at the time I thought was way too expensive for a calendar app but now it seems they jumped on the subscription bandwagon and want $79 per year. For a calendar?? Something Apple, Google and just about everyone else offers for free.
Better than the default iOS, make it really easy to see your upcoming week and dots for your month. However, they are out to lunch thinking what they’re asking for the premium subscription. $10 a month? This isn’t Netflix or Spotify guys. I pay $25 a year for Drafts which has way more utility and useful feature and constant upgrades, but yet Fantastical wants more than 3x that much!
This calendar app costs more than Amazon Prime! For a calendar! My husband wanted to try the features, not worth $14.99/month. Will cancel immediately!
What was a good app has been absolutely ruined by obtrusive premium subscription pop-ups and features stripped from the base version.
Broken model, broken economy
I loved this app. It was marvellous. Then they moved to subscription and broke it for me. I keep coming back to see if they reduced the subscription cost to a reasonable amount. Nope. Unfortunate. :( Come on, I get a subscription model makes the development sustainable. But you’ll get far more subscriptions if you reduced the yearly cost. $20 I would pay. Over $70? No thanks.
Very buggy app. Syncing breaks often with the Apple Watch. I’ve been using it for over a year and have contributed many bug reports with few responses. It’s not getting better, but it does have some features I can’t get elsewhere. Hoping Readdle builds some of these in. The app is very expensive considering the large amount of critical bugs.
Paid for the app. Loved the features. Then the “Subscription” model kicked in. An expensive one as well. There is no value added to be worth the amount asked for in the subscription. In talking with support, I realized that they aren’t interested in what the customers want. Too bad. Lots of other great apps to replace this one.
Been with Fantastical for years, probably since v2 came out. It's cross-platform, reliable, versatile. But the thing I've been desperately missing is the ability to overlay the calendars of my colleagues on top of my own to be able to see their our schedules quickly and plan the optimal day and time for the meeting. Fantastical's implementation of availability is far from being fantastic, it should adopt the workflow of Google Calendar, Notion Calendar, Rise Calendar, Vimcal - practically any modern calendar app has this feature. Please, dev team 🙏
I’ve been in contact with customer support for almost a month. Suddenly my Microsoft accounts won’t sync between my Mac and iPhone. I was promised a fix in the latest Mac released but it still isn’t working. Checking online forums such as reddit it seems the issue is plaguing many people. Not sure why this isn’t a bigger issue for the team.
