Whereas I still have the previous release on an old Ipad that works without flaw, the new release is bugged. I have an Atom and a Core, one of the two will be systematically lost by the app, I need to reselect it and then the apps closes/crashes, I need to reopen the app and after several seconds the added Uniti component vanishes from the app. Give me back the previous release!!!!
Great hardware, bad software.
Only able to listen to my favorites in TIDAL via the naim app one by one. So i need to use Bluetooth to use the TIDAL app instead and in doing so losing in quality.
Poor app: internet radio search painfully, poor use of screen real estate
Good luck to dig in the 1000+ internet radios. No simple search provided.
Poor use of screen real estate: small characters, lot of unused space that could be used to improve readability or practicality.
Wrote to Naim and they replied that everybody likes it. Nice answer, so I must be the problem 😏
DAB+
I can’t connect with DAB+ stations. Before with Standard DAB it was OK.
IphoneX
It doesn’t do his job with wifi connectivity and iphonex
Where is the sorting option?
Nice app, essential to use the uniti. Logical structure, but the lack of a sorting option for favourites is disturbing. Albums, artists, ... are sorted in the order they were added. Quite annoying once the lists grow... This can’t be so difficult??
Great app but no easy radio search or equalizer
Compared to other hi-fi or tv vendors (NAD, LG, Samsung,..) Naim knows how to make an app that is easy to use and navigate. The app is very versatile as it allows to control input (Airplay, Bluetooth, iRadio, TV or optical input,..).
In addition, it facilitates product configuration by including special instructions and making obvious when updates are available.
But 2 defaults:
1/ No way to search for a radio by name without going through a hierarchy first. For example, if you want to add a pop French radio you have to go through genre -> pop -> France hierarchy or through a geographical hierarchy (Europe -> France -> pop) before being able to search on the name of the radio.
2/ No equalizer: it is true that the calibration and audio quality are great without fiddling, but sometime you would like to adjust slightly but nothing available to do that.
Unstable
I have a mu-so and qb. In 50% of the time the app doesn't recognise one or more of the devices. The app also crashes consistently. The latest release of the app is the worst yet.
The streamers are great kit, but the naim app just doesn't live up to the quality you expect from naim. Since the app is essential to control the streamers, this somewhat ruins the entire experience...
Absolutely great
A major improvement, I instantly loved the new version. 5th star lost on - no more bitdepth/sampling rate as detail - there's something with the image quality of the covers...
