I experience occasional dropouts when using the app, but the most frustrating aspect to me is that i essentially need to use the app all the time to stream to my uniti atom he. When I search for qobuz albums in the app by artist, I get a whole bunch of junk that I wouldn’t get if I were using the native qobuz app. My main streaming service is Apple Music and while I know it’s not naim’s fault they don’t allow for lossless music streaming direct to the device, I wish it would at least be easier to search the qobuz catalogue within the app. As it stands, using the app feels clunky and I did not spend $11000 CAD + for this level of experience. When I can, I always buy and download my music to my Plex server and that works great with the naim app. But with no USB in (this would have solved EVERYTHING), I’m tied to the naim app, which has really detracted from the idea of forgetting about everything else and being in touch with the music. Does not connect
I have new Focal Bathys that pair with my iPhone through the Bluetooth menu in iOS Settings. However, pairing through the app simply does not work, even after starting from scratch. The Bathys headphones sound great but this app is dysfunctional.
Great hardware held back by dysfunctional apps
The Naim and focal have great hardware, which i have enjoyed immensely. But the apple apps, both on the IPad and iphone, are dysfunctional. At the moment, the IPad app stopped recognizing my Naim Uniti Atom. The app frequently stopped functioning properly and I have to reboot my iPad or phone. It is real pity that the focal great speakers and the Naim streamers are great but the apps are unfortunately not up to the hardware standards.
Terribly disappointed
I can’t believe anyone who would give this a 5 star review. I guess you are the lucky ones ! This is disgraceful I get better reliability from any other wireless product in my home.

A 1$ app to go with your 2000$ speaker
Absolutely trash app. This should be disgrace for the Naim brand, but there’s been no fixes or updates.
Focal side not so bad
I can only speak for the Focal side of the app. It's miles better than the Sony app you'd use for the XM-5 headphones and overall the app is pretty good. Updating the headphone's firmware on day 1 was smooth.
It would have earned 5 stars if it had:
- A few more premade EQ presets
- A label to let you know which exact value you've set your custom EQ bar to.
- The ability to change a custom EQ without having to make a new one. I think sometimes my changes save and sometimes they don't, it's hard to tell.
Anyway good app and the Bathys are excellent.
Naim/Focal App - Household Sound
I own a Naim Uniti Atom, a Naim Uniti Nova, a Naim Uniti Core, and a MUSO II. I have a not very clean Ethernet network in the house with two extra hubs branched off the main hub, and a mesh wifi network with 6 nodes from LinkSys. But this app works almost perfectly in the house with just very occasional issue finding the MUSO II about twice a year. It delivers fantastic streaming sound, and Tidal integration, as well as all the radio HD stations, and streaming from the Core to all my players. I love the album notes and the tidal integration the best, other than it just works, and the sound quality is top class. I also find the app easy to use and understand.
Naim
Blue tooth turns off after seconds of use.
Absolutly useless app Naim should be embarrassed to have their name on this.
Naim software holds back their hardware
I have the Naim Uniti Atom connected to Focal Aria speakers. The Atom and the Arias are great, pure joy. But the Naim software is currently hopeless. I hear my music mainly through TIDAL and every time I use the Naim Atom the connection to TIDAL disappears and I have to restart my Ipad and my Iphone in order to reconnect. Several months ago, the failure to connect to TIDAL would happen frequently, but now it happens every single time.
