Focal & Naim

Once I sorted my own internet issues, the app now works flawlessly on my SuperUniti and Naim Server.

Endless issues. Some days it works, some days it doesn’t. Some updates work for a while, then it all falls over. I’ve spent more time resetting connections and fiddling with issues than listening to music. Decent sound from Naim Mu-so is ruined by this horrible app to the point where I’m selling the whole system …

After recent update / firmware, the speakers are Unable to connect to wifi..

Volume control is now two buttons and not a slider. However you can still find the slider controls on another screen if you prefer this. Easy to use and very effective app.

Help, I cannot use the controls to pause, skip forward or back. Last update BROKE app.

Difficult to use with iPhone X. Touch the volume control on the main screen and zap, oops slid to different app. Go to volume screen and then it takes clicks plural to get anywhere else, look at another device. Can't be that hard Naim. Usual story I suppose, it sort of works, why bother

Downloaded the latest update to our 3 devices yesterday and now our existing connection via the app isn't recognised and we have to go through a new registration. SORT IT OUT you boffins!

Deeply regretting "upgrading", although the look is smooth, the interface has lost a lot of direct access. Can't change volume or pause output unless you navigate to the currently playing item! And to add insult to injury I can't downgrade to the better n-Stream. If you have n-Stream I wouldn't recommend this.

So this replaces n-stream and yet seems to assume you have a mu-so. It has dropped my uniti and I may have to find it manually. Seriously?

The reliability of the Naim app has improved dramatically since it became a combined Focal & Naim app. Connection to devices has finally become rock solid. It still doesn’t always find them as easily and reliably as apps like Roon, AirPlay etc, but it is decent. The UI is generally good, although could use some improvements when navigating through streaming services, internet radio etc.
