Won’t connect to iPhone

My husband loves his dashcam so we bought the exact same ones for my daughter and myself but he has a Samsung and we both have iPhones unlike his the app on our phones won’t connect with our cameras

Nextbase 23.7 and ios 17.1 in iPhone 14 pro max

The camera seems to work flawlessly and always connects via Bluetooth or Wifi. The Mynextbase app is a mess. The app doesn't know the state of connection from the iPhone to the Nextbase 522gw, no matter how many times I remove the app, reinitialize the camera or delete entries under Bluetooth or Wifi for the camera. The company does not seem to understand the root cause of the issue and leaves the user hanging. I've only had the camera a week and this is a worst nightmare scenario.

Doesn't actually work.

Spent so much money on the camera system that relies on this app and it won't do anything or go anywhere from the " firmware update" screen. Says it's up to date but clicking continue doesn't actually do anything. So spending extra money to get the features is actually a waste of Money because you can't set up voice since the app doesn't want to work.

App constantly failing and having to re-install

This review was originally written several months ago and to do that have done absolutely nothing to rectify the problem and based on the number of reviews that have the same issue I’d say it’s really pissing people off. Especially when you consider that it is on the upper end of the price range for dash cams. As far as claritly of images and ease of use, this camera is awesome; however, it has one glitch that makes it rather pointless to own. I am constantly having to delete and re-I stall the app. The app will work great for a few days and then eventually, and very randomly it will just start opening up to a blank purple page. Re-starting the phone doesn’t help. Only solution I have found is to delete and re-install the app. What a Fckn Debbie downer for an otherwise great product. It’s gotten to the point where I actually regret the purchase 😕. iPhone 13 ProMax V 16.2.

Overall the camera is great. Had a few minor issues but got resolved with the help of Nextbase support team. The app is awesome and easy to use. Makes retreating videos a breeze.

app won’t work

how am i meant to pull the videos off if the app won’t work it only loads to a black screen and nothing else don’t hundreds on these cameras and can’t access the files. is it not compatible with the new ios update?

Horrible software and hardware.

Yes it is indeed absolutely the worst thing over of crap software and hardware put together. When you pay a high amount of money for something the least you can expect is professional good equipment. Well that’s not what you get with this app or the 622 gps. It’s a headache and a soft bunch of idiots in support who sends you are warning for verbal abuse for calling their product garbage. the truth hurts we all know. So then after then truly verbally abusing support I’m now blocked. They’ll take your money but not critic. Professional company doing what they do best. I’d recommend staying away from these brands. A gps that can’t be updated because it keeps shutting down when you try, same goes for when you try to see clips In the app. It shuts down and you can unplug and plug in again about 10-15 times before it might work. Oh yeah, zero battery so if it’s not plugged in it’s off. ;) Oh and you get the benefit of the app not being able to play the video because of error, corrupt file or whatever it calls it. But not to worry it informs you to save the clip to you phone, which you can’t do in that stage since you can’t even do anything with the clip. And as icing on the cake, the Bluetooth connect disconnect has a mind of its own. This app along with their gps products are a JOKE to say the least.

HORRIBLE app

This is the most ineffective app I’ve ever used. It never connects connect to dashboard, doesn’t load live view, PLUS most of the times app doesn’t even display anything when opened!!!!

App is not working anymore

It just shows black screen.
