NETGEAR Orbi - WiFi System App

I bought Orbi for better quality WIFI coverage and for the parental control option. Unfortunately I have had a number of issues with reliability with the parental control program which is very frustrating. I have bedtime set so my kids don’t have access to the net but overnight however on a number of occasions the app says the device is connected but it is not blocking the internet at the designated times and it’s only by chance I find out. This issue needs to be rectified asap.

Why do i have to agree to install netgear armour malware on my router and agree to share my network activity data just to be able to run an iphone app. It’s intrusive, it violates privacy and it should be illegal. The router comes with instructions to use this app to configure it — and gives no information that you can avoid the app altogether and configure router via webbrowser (connect to 192.168.1.1).

This system drops out around 12 times per day

It’s extremely difficult to get phone support and this product has compatibility issue with Apple iCloud and privately.

Terms and conditions are unacceptable. Installing armour is 3rd party enforcement. I already have an app in this category I do not need two. App removed without use.

We are finding that this device is very hard to set up and use. Very, very difficult.

App description states (unconditionally) that one can use the app to monitor internet usage over time - where is this option in the app please? - I've never seen it. Quote “ - Traffic Meter - Monitor internet usage over time.”
