A poor app for a terrible wifi system
Where do I begin? The RBK850 wifi has a great coverage, better than most other mesh wifi system out there… *when it works* properly. It’s a slow system to start up, and this app doesn’t help. Login is slow, and takes its time to load connected devices. Despite an expensive wifi system, there’s no parental control feature in this app, device’s wifi access have to be manually switched on/off via this slow app. Recently, I’m not able to login to my router at all, not via this app, nor by my Mac’s Chrome browser. So I frequently have no control over the network, not even to reboot it via the app. Reading through the KB in Netgear, many users reported similar problems yet there seems to be to clear causes and fixes. When this occurs, the wifi signal works fine, but access to the router isn’t possible. I often resort to a complete reboot (unplugging) of the modem, and the router. This is the last straw, I’m switching to another wifi system real soon even if it has slightly less coverage. What a disappointment from both the Orbi RBK850 and the app itself.
