QR code on device doesn’t work. Device couldn’t be found when smartfone connected to Orbi network. Awful, user unfriendly, buggy. Get a TP Link instead.
It is good app, but should have more advanced settings options, like in browser administration. If you try to add smart home devices, you need use only 2.4GHz wifi and it is problem with Orbi RBK353. If you just want to plug in and connect to your mobile and notebook, it’s not problem for you.
I had ORBI before too, but Netgear ORBI RBR850 is absolutely top. Hight speed is in the whole house and everywere is the same! 😃💥👍🏼
I do like this router, so much so that I purchased another satellite for the older system I have. We Needed after we put up, a new addition with a second floor, saving up for the newest and best to replace it soon. Unfortunately, I just looked at their new 3-unit system and it's almost $3K
Netgear’s products are incredibly frustrating to use. Even when you save the password for automatic login, the system constantly claims the password is incorrect, forcing you to reset it. After resetting, it works for a while, but within a week or so, it tells you the password is wrong again. This repetitive cycle is why I switched to the UniFi system. Netgear’s application and equipment are simply unreliable and poorly designed.
Constantly going off-line
I was really hoping the 4200 would be the best solution my 2000sf home. But even just on day one, it’s spotty at best. And doesn’t seem to be able to have the reach NETGEAR claims. None of their mesh network extenders have worked for me. And I’m just in a regular single Florida house.
Good luck w basic functions on software side as it corresponds to Netgear.
The app is easy to navigate and use. Extremely helpful, especially if you use ARMOR as you perimeter protection of the network. All your IoT devices can be seen and if they are active on the Internet and protected.
