The ÖBB App comes with the following features:
• Tickets for trains, buses, the metro and trams: book your ÖBB tickets & get exclusive online specials such as the Sparschiene Österreich discount fares. You can also book the city tickets and weekly or monthly tickets of Austrian regional transport operators
• Pay your fares on the go with SimplyGo! The handy add-on for the ÖBB App automatically identifies the routes you travelled and calculates the matching public transport fare for your complete journey
• Secure your favourite seat on the Railjet: use the graphic seat reservation
• Find the best fare: see the ÖBB train services sorted by lowest fare first
• ÖBB Account: conveniently and securely store your personal data and means of payment, save your favourite routes, and receive additional exclusive offers (e.g. the Vorteilscard 66 discount card)

Lost my tickets!
The app upgrade has lost my tickets and I now have no way of recovering them.
Can’t pay
This app is the best way to find out when trains are, rather than use the atrocious oebb website, which is a terrible collection of pop up windows from the 90s. However, the payment system in this app is run by something called worldline and absolutely does not work. Seeing as buying tickets is the entire point of the app, this is another great Austrian success.
Seatbooking fixed, now crashes when opening shopping basket
Dear Austrian Railway Team, It would be really helpfull if you would start to put a little bit more effort in the mobile apps! - Every time i click on the shopping basket the App crashes! (Had to buy ticket on the computer) - Every time i click on journey details, app crashes! These are just two fault I found,… it seems comments and feedback are ignored anyway and there is no “report problem” button in the App,… Br Gernot
App crashes every time I click on an existing ticket
This app used to be alright but a recent update made the app crash every single time, without fail, I click on any purchased ticket.
Haven’t found better
As transport apps go, this is about the best i have ever seen. Well integrated, useful, generally very reliable (as long as you have network). Well done ÖBB.
Payment down over christmas
Tried to purchase ticket for the 27th Dec early morning. On the 25th dec tried 3 times using different cards and paypal options, then tried from my husband account on the 26th Dec. No luck, payment authorization goes through the bank but the app then reverts back to the start of payment. Never ending cycle. Payment authorized multiple times for the same tickets - hopefully when the mess is cleared it will not be charged retrospectively, as by that time it will be well outdated. What a nonsense app.
Decent app, payment is quite bad though
App works fine, but the payment system is really too old. There should be a way to make payments easy, the process is too complicated if you don’t have a credit card, which costs money. Most people Own a debit card nowadays cmon guys! The bank transfer function is complicated too, resulting in having to go mostly at the station in advance to get tickets like 10 years ago 😕

I got all excited as I wanted to boom the nighjet with my vehicle but it doesn’t segment to allow this in the app???
Hard to use
I’m a very confident iPhone user but I must say this app was giving me a headache while travelling in Austria. It was hard to retrieve my tickets, check journey details. Definitely needs an update.
