The best way to learn languages and it is so fast to learn them.
Rubbish app, the interface is terrible and the inability to learn core words from the starts immediately puts you in a situation where you have to guess words before you figure it out
If you have already learned the hiragana alphabet and have learned a little about the grammatical particles such as ‘は’, ‘を’ and ‘の’, this will be a good starting point. It helps you associate Japanese words with mental images and focuses on comprehension rather than surface level learning. However, it can also work out really well as supplementary learning. My only concern is that it doesn't appear to have an option to learn the hiragana alphabet, which is crucial to be able to sound out the written words they display in their lessons. If you have primarily learned through romanji, spend a day or two learning the hiragana alphabet first. It will make your experience using this app better.
I am really keen to use this app, but when I try and tap on a Unit, it opens up a totally different one that's further along. This may be a bug that needs fixing? Thank you
The app needs to be modernised. Very expensive for a buggy app.
I was excited to try this product and as is the custom they offered a free trial with automatic billing when the period ends. I decided not to continue with the product but have struggled to confirm if the trial was even started, can’t get access to cancel, and there is no facility to delete the account. Make sure you check out several reviews of this product before you even think about giving it a go. They have clearly spent a lot of money on influencing and reviews. I would rate this zero if I could. Avoid this trap app and company.
Lockdown makes room for building my language skills! I get encouragement, face-to-face lessons, excellent repetition to reinforce new words and concepts!
As a beginner, I am finding it really helpful.
So glad I got this app. It’s great fun, and very interactive. I struggled with learning through a text book, however this app caters to my visual style of learning.
I love that this app uses pictures to help you learn. I find it a lot easier to learn the basics when I can see what the word means. But once you get into the Harder lessons it becomes a pass fail game. They need to make some kind of a system that notices when you consistently get something wrong and suggest re doing once of the lessons to help you understand that part better. Also $30 per month is very expensive for something you may not use every day and the auto renew meant that it was taking my money long after I stopped using the app. Not impressed!
