Not encouraging
They give you a Core Lesson which takes like 30 minutes to complete, but they never explain or tell you anything. There is zero of your first langage in it. Just pictures and your language that you’re trying to learn. This makes it very hard to learn so you have to pay close attention and that actually made my French super hard to learn. So I got Duolingo and whilst it has its flaws it explains each topic before the lesson so I could understand and within minutes all my questions had been answered, because they actually taught me they didn’t stare at me and nod or shake their heads. With rossera stone it’s very hard to know what part you got wrong, and even with simple typos. When they make you write something you’ll have no fricking clue as to what you type wrong, it just won’t let you move forwards. Or they’ll read you a story and tell you to read it(they listen to your mic) but you can get anywhere without it saying “WRONG TRY AGAIN” when you don’t know what you got wrong. I hate this. But hey I have to do it along with Duolingo so here I am still using it. 😞 🥱

Rosetta Stone as improved my understanding and gives great courses for you to complete. I would definitely recommend you to you use Rosetta Stone.

Love these language learning apps. But just now I guessed my way through a lesson without any idea what some of the sentences were saying or what vocabulary and grammatical structures might be involved. Would’ve been nice to have access to a bit of explanation, to learn the material rather than depending on luck.

Effective, but not completely free
After completely two days of learning, you will have to pay to continue the learning further. This app is NOT free (only for two days)
European Portuguese
Why only Brazilian Portuguese and not European? Uninstall
Excellent
If you put in the effort, do all the units (including the extended learning parts) it’s well worth it! Speaking Turkish might not be as good as understanding it but I certainly understand how the language is structured. My vocabulary had improved in a matter of days.
