Twinkly

It used to work all the time. Now it never seems to find the wifi when I turn it on. I’ve followed the instructions to kill the app on my phone and turn off the wifi for a short time before switching everything back on, but no joy.

Constantly getting the “error has occurred” pop up with almost all of the effects that are available to me. This is unacceptable for such an expensive product.

Still can't easily loop an effect without it stuttering. Still can't rearrange colors and layers. Not many built in effects. Whats the point of the clunky discover feature.

Can’t use these new an expensive lights 10 days out from Christmas. Not good enough Twinkly.

App doesn’t like iOS 17

I love the Twinkle lights. So versatile, awesome to customise and the colours are outstanding! However, I wish the app would give us more automation options. A simple feature request would be to be able to set more than one timer in the App. I’d like to be able to set the lights to be less bright towards the evening/night. Or a gradual dimming feature would be good or one that is aware of local sunset times. HomeKit can set brightness according to time and sunset but it does not play the effects playlist and only sets one static colour when turning on the lights which is disappointing. Otherwise, if you mainly use the App to adjust/set the lights it’s awesome and has the ‘wow’ effect :)

The family loves the effects the light give off, our Christmas Tree looks great. Have also used the lights at my wife’s 40th as a backdrop. Definitely worth it!

Love fiddling with them.

The range of Twinkly products is impressive and definitely provides consumers with creative designs. However where they fall short is their app. It took me over a week to connect my lights and when they did the camera setup for light mapping is scarce of instructions and fails. Moreover the lights have again disconnected and I am unable to control them via my phone. For the premium price of the products, it’s almost ridiculous at the poor craftsmanship of the technology side of thing. I would NOT recommend purchasing this brand as they do not provide the benchmark level that LifX or Philips Hue has set. Very disappointing

These apps are a rip-off - I spent thousands of dollars on the squares and it connects when it feels, it is a very frustrating experience - very annoying
