Booked a car via rental cars and Ryanair. It made automatic date booking by flight with wrong date by whole day!!!
I rented a car today. The car rental company refused to take the deposit as my card was not a visa (it’s a Mastercard). I proposed to make the deposit in cash, which they refused and they told me to contact Rentalcar for the cancellation. Which I did. Rentalcar proposed me to reimburse the extra insurance (30 euro) and that’s it. This is a clear scam. Such app should be banned from the Apple Store!
Local OK Mobility office in Crete tried to squeeze us on insurance although we already bought it. We paid EUR 50 for insurance and locally they wanted EUR 280! Car was really damaged on all sides in and out and worn and I felt the need to video record all damages
Try to avoid this app. I booked through them but the car rental company didn’t deliver the car on arrival. When I filed a complaint rentalcars refused to refund. They just robbed me.
Despite reinstalling app., running latest iOS, having +9MB download speed over wifi the app. keeps on moaning about network error. As of right now a useless app.
I have used Rental Cars for a few years now, both in Europe and America and its a great way of renting a car getting the best deals. In addition its very easy to book and the conditions offered are excellent.
Rentalcars.com is the first company I ever have reported to the Governmental Consumer Rights agency in Sweden. The reason is that they advertise ”NO CANCELLATION FEE” even when I book a car on short notice. But if I then cancel the car they do take out a cancellation fee of 100%. Also, the link Customer Service asks me to use to file a formal claim does not exist, and they do not respond when I let them know this. I gave three different customer service representatives a chance to set this situation straight before escalating with negative reviews outside their organization.
Great and quick service, very helpful calling service if there are any issues. Seems like they avoid the worst rental scams. One annoying thing are there discounts or offerings, there are no differences in price just a way to lure you into booking A bit messy with insurances as well, the agency’s always try to sell you an expensive one but if you have a better credit card that is most often in the deal. Some agencies are also treating you less good than if you were their direct customer. The best provider by far in Barcelona is Alamo.
Not only they won’t give you a car if there is something they don’t like, the app wouldn’t connect and would complain there is no internet connection for the next few days, so you can’t manage your booking. And after you create a support issue they won’t do anything with it and will just ignore you.
