Exertion should be updated for days past if the Workout data is updated for those days. My cycling workouts do not get detailed HR data from Zwift or Strava. I can get it from Garmin Connect but only if I go to that app and view it, then refresh the screen. If I then go to Athlytic I can update it there by refreshing the screen. If that’s on the same day, Exertion is updated. If I forget and do it the next day or later I can still get detailed HR data in a past Workout in Athlytic by refreshing the screen in the app. But the daily Exertion score won’t reflect it. That makes my calendar view somewhat worthless.
There is so much data that this app gives me about what is going on in my body and how I’m doing (sometimes too much😁)—I love it. Since downloading, my average sleep and recovery have gone way up! Usually around 100% and I can feel it! I’m sure eating better and the new vitamins and supplements I have been taking are a part of that, but being able to track things like recovery is the first step to changing them, just like anything. Shout out to Gary and Jaclyn, so awesome!!
So far this app does nearly everything I could ask for. It truly does allow you to obsess over your health. Highly recommend giving this app a shot. I would love to see a little bit more customization from the “workouts” section, though. Specifically for running distances. It almost seems like that information is buried intentionally. As someone that is ramping up the distances I run, I'd love to see better sharing tiles that include distance ran. Strava has a great feature that shows a graph of your distances for the week and it's one of my favorite features.
I changed my review to nil. Initially, I really liked the idea of this app. The Stress section was my favorite area. The Exertion & METs section isn’t incredibly accurate. That could be due to the watch itself. I even made myself sleep with my watch on at nights for the last 5 months, to try to get a better results on the app. I do not sleep well with a watch on, so have stopped after loosing all the data. After iOS updates, the app isn’t the same, months on, it’s simply glitchy and unreliable. I will never pay for this app again. I gave them time to fix their bugs. Wasn’t seeing it. I emailed for help, with polite, but totally different useless starter tip responses. So, I deleted the app, made sure all possible routes were okayed. I even erased the entire phone twice. The app changed a little. But upon having to re-delete the app, it goes back to display issues on the watch and phone. The WORST REGRET I have with trying to fix this app, it erased 6 months of my health data. I’m pretty ticked, to say the least. I should have just deleted the app and not tried to get it to function again. So warning, do not mess around trying to fix the app’s bugs. You can and will intermittently erase all your data, from it, from Apple Health. Even when the phone is backed up. A month in, it’s gone, and starting over. The Health app, nor another Heart Analyzer app had these kind of functioning glitches after the iOS update, just Athlytic. Regrets. Don’t risk loosing data. I’m Not looking for the developers to respond. Please don’t. [But of course they did to save face.] We’ve communicated enough, thank you. I appreciate that you responded with email. It’s a glitchy app that doesn’t keep up with iOS updates, so it malfunctions and is unreliable. Months on, it’s just unreliable.
This app has not been working right for the past 3-4 weeks! I have followed all tips, suggestions and went over all settings. It’s say that my recovery is 0, even on days (multiple days) when my resting heart rate and HRV are great. This is so frustrating, aggravating and just wrong when paying a substantial price for the subscription. I’ve been a premium subscriber for over 3 years but if this isn’t resolved I will NOT be RENEWING! I will gladly update when and if this is resolved.
I have Pro but lost access to watch widgets yesterday and now the main app is telling me to subscribe for access. I have done trouble shooting, restore purchases etc. only thing i haven’t done yet is uninstall-reinstall. Any suggestions?
If you’re using an Apple Watch, this app does a fantastic job of giving you a Garmin-like experience. If you switch to a Garmin watch, the app becomes useless outside of sleep tracking. Requires gimmicky third party apps to import all other Garmin data. Disappointing that I wasted a year subscription on this.
Athletic is a very useful app for me. It gives me good help in where I am at with my workouts. They are also very responsive and dedicated if I need help with something.
This app gives me the same information that I was going to purchase the oura ring for. Now with Athlytic I don’t feel like I need it. I’m sure the ours ring might be a bit more sophisticated but this app is really amazing for the price
