Athlytic is an exceptional app that transforms Apple Watch data into actionable fitness insights. It evaluates recovery, monitors exertion, and offers personalized sleep recommendations. Users praise its depth of analysis and accuracy, making it an invaluable tool for optimizing training and health.
As someone who is very much into fitness and wanting to optimise performance, I can confidently say that this app is amazing! I haven’t tried Whoop, but I was put off the expensive subscription service (£230PA and you don’t even own the hardware at the end? Crazy). Anyway, Athlytic gives you more or less the same data for £27.99 a year (granted you have to own a smartwatch) and the features are constantly being updated! And No one wants to roll around with a smartwatch and Whoop device when you can have one device that does everything! Just makes sense to me!
Really good app, would recommend to anyone, lays out info in a much more user-friendly way than the default Apple Heath app IMO.
Such a great app absolute essential for me to track net energy. Acts as the one stop shop by displaying easy to understand calories out (via Apple Watch/Apple Health) and calories in. Small dev team but a very well thought out and polished app. It also tracks my readiness for my next workout including sleep. Takes all the effort out of having to calculate things via Apple Health alone 👏👏👏
When it says net energy for last 7 days it’s actually adding 8 days therefore a useless stat for the last week. This has been reported on Reddit (by multiple people) and by email and remains unfixed. It’s so annoying.
Highly recommend, can’t live without it
I’ve used this app for a year and it has its good points but generally the whole recovery tracking thing is just numbers and more often than not don’t really translate into the way I’m feeling. Will often tell me I’m not recovered and I’ll do a workout anyway and feel fine and some days it tells me I’m 100% after a workout but within myself I feel drained. Don’t think I’ll be renewing my subscription.
It’s life changing in the way that you look at it more than Instagram. You then spend ages texting your mate who also has the app to work out how, if your battery is at 40% how can recovery be 100% and then trying to exert yourself to maximum…. I’ve become a slave to the stats… it’s why I didn’t get a bloody Whoop. I’m in now though so may as well see if it helps!! It’s got a week free trial so you may as well eh?
Brilliant App, regular updates, everything you need.
