Unintuitive rubbish

How can the world's largest bicycle component manfacturer produce such an appallingly unintuitive and poorly designed app? Dreadful!

Frustrating but got there eventually

Connectivity is the problem. Took me hours of deleting app, turning phone on and off, connecting, losing connection, registering, deleting, re-regeristing, deleting app etc etc for hours!! . You just want to open app and see it automatically connect Eventually I got there. After that - great features. Customised as I want … happy days… until I need to change something..

Searching….. forever….

Connected it at the shop, by the time I rode it home it had lost connection. This has to be the worst app ever. Interestingly the Shimano E-Tube Ride app DOES connect, so it’s definitely the app not the hardware

No problems just a wish list.

I had no problems with downloading and updating using my mobile phone. My only problem (if that’s what it is) is that I can only select a 11-34 maximum size cassette for my GRX di2 in the app. I have fitted a Wolf Tooth hanger extension and now run an 11-42 which does not appear in the selection settings in the app. Shimano if you are reading this please change the app to allow a broader range of cassettes for those who make modifications like to their bikes.

Great way to set up your Ebike

So I have used this app on my Orbea Ebike .. You can use it to update software .. set the power for the Eco/trail/boost and see battery life. Whilst is not without fault it’s also not that bad 🙂

Bricked My Di2

Software update stopped during initial setup and bricked the whole system. Shimano make some great hardware but this is simply shameful on the software side as it is apparently a common problem. £150 on a product that is absolutely useless as cannot safely update.

Latest version still rubbish

1000mb wifi connection still not stable enough apparently Fix it. It’s useless

Shimano e-tube app

Useless really as it is just so unreliable hit and miss but mostly just doesn’t work. Regardless of everything I have being perfectly fine the app is useless.

Needs an update

Keeps dropping out whilst performing updates which then require me to use a hard wired option, not good for customers who only have the App. When will it be updated and made to work properly and efficiently

Waste of time

This app is an absolute waste of time. I just can’t connect it to my bike, the Bluetooth connection keeps dropping out and the app is old and clunky
