After having spoken to several members of the customer services team over the telephone over the past 5 days regarding opening a bank account, I went to the branch on Damascus Street Dubai to open a bank account. I was met initially by a gentleman(I forgot his name). He was sitting at cubicle number 10. He did not seem to be happy to see me or to help me at all. He really seemed upset. When I asked whether there was something wrong, he literally said: today I’m having a bad day… The conversation with him made me feel very uncomfortable. I questioned myself at some point what was I doing there? At the end of that awkward conversation he said to me: you will receive a message within 4 working days. I left his cubicle, again questioning myself: why did you come to Emirates NBD? Why was acting that way? But then, just before I left the branch, I was spoken to by a delightful employee, Mrs Neha. She asked me whether my account has been opened and I told her what the gentleman told me: within 4 days. Mrs Neha took me a separate cubicle: my account was already active! She helped me by setting up online banking, she took me through the various vital steps: - my IBAN number. - she helped me set up a password and a code number. - explained how to open a savings account - how I can upgrade my account to Priority banking (an option which was offered to me over the telephone based on my savings, which I’d like to transfer the to Emirates NBD soon (around £120k) - how to pay bills online - how to avoid becoming a victim of telephone fraud (never disclosing your personal details especially my Emirates ID). - how to apply for a credit card. Whatever the first collage fell short of, Mrs Neha made up for it 100%. She did that in an eloquent, professional and friendly manner, which honestly restored my trust in Emirates NBD. Bravo to her I’m happy to be a new customer and I’m looking forward to pleasant and fruitful relationship. Thanks and regards, Said Farah

The ENBD X app interface is user-friendly and customizable according to preferences. However, there are occasional fluctuations in server response times, leading to delays in accessing the account, which requires improvement. Nonetheless, it absolutely deserves a 5-star rating.
