I read a lot of books on this app, took a break and when I returned, all my read history was gone, nowhere to be found. I type some titles and app shows I have finished these books, but at the same time my history is empty. It actually hurts alot to lose stuff like that. I reach out to support and all they do is reply with an app directory to history. I have been using the app for years, why wont I know where read history is. This is what happens when business is in just for the money with no regards for those using their services. WHERE IS MY READ HISTORY???
App glitchy, no widget for increasing text size
When trying to change the text size for reading a book, there is no widget. It’s impossible to increase the text size once it has been lowered to the lowest. This is an issue for anyone trying to read that is blind or disabled, or anyone wanting to change the text size at all. This definitely needs to be fixed, or I will no longer be subscribing to Everand for reading on the go.
Suddenly crashing?
This app was great for a while but suddenly is crashing while trying to access downloaded titles
Okay
At the end of every month when I’m trying to get last minute reading done, I can’t because the app takes my titles and and says they’re available soon. Meaning the next month. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. It also deletes my saved titles and makes my list significantly lower. Which isn’t fair. I’m a forgetful person and I like to visit my saved list and sometimes titles are missing and unsaved. It is a really good app (despite my rant), full audiobooks with non robotic narration! I love this app and it’s helpful with getting to my reading goals…but I had 146 titles saved, and right now I have 6 on my saved list because everything else is “available soon”. Again, I do appreciate this app. That’s why I gave it such a high rating but is this a bug issue or what?
UPDATE:
I just looked and I have a message on the app saying “you’ve reached your limit for the month” this is a monthly subscription that I pay for. $12 a month. And you get limited on how much you can listen to? Thats kind of weird.
Charged 11.99 during my trial period
I downloaded this app and agreed to the
FREE trial period. I was trying to find an alternative to audible. It wasn’t my up of tea. Before I could cancel three days later my account was charged. Scam…
Customer service
The email customer service can’t fix my problem to restore my account even though I’m paying for it. They do not offer live chat or customer support phone to get help in real time. Before this I loved them.
Disappointed In Tech Requirements
I’ve been a user of the service since it was a pilot several owners ago—many, many years. And I keep an older, smaller iPad that I use just for reading. However, the service requires iOS 16 or newer for an “optimized” experience. I simply want to read a book. And the fact that the “full potential” of the app has meant it not being accessible (through the app) for a number of major readers as well as older devices is concerning. Especially when none of my other reading apps have had such a requirement or become so inaccessible.
Now when I read online it’s not only cumbersome, but there’s an annoying header that asks I use the app they won’t let me use.
Better than Amazon
Doesn’t have everything, but it has a great selection. Worth the monthly subscription.
Glitchy
Wonder when they’ll fix this glitchy app. I’m guessing the developers don’t care. That’s definitely what it looks like. I’m really contemplating getting rid of it. It was good when it was Scribd, now it’s just a glitchy mess.
Good app always buffering
I have had scribd/Everand quite a while . It's a good app with lots of content but for me it is always buffering .
