The best on the market
1) Helps you listen and pronounce with useful and succinct instruction. 2) Focuses on useful words and skips the usual ”hi, I’m X and I come from Y” phase. 3) Isn’t burdened with glitzy gamification — learning is its own reward. It trusts the user’s own intelligence. Sure, I’d like to see some more features (a master list of all your cards for instance), but it’s mostly an excellent app. It’s not free, but the trial period should be more than enough for you to make your own decision.
The first language learning app that actually works
I’ve tried Babel and Duolingo for 6+ months. It’s easy to get high scores and streaks with them, but those scores don’t translate to real world use. Fluent Forever does. I’ve learned more practical German in my first month of Fluent Forever than with 6+ months of Duolingo or Babel and even Anki.
App requires you to agree to pay right away though there supposed to be free trial
Don’t treat your users like this! You’ve lost your likely only chance to make me your user.
Like the method of concentrating on getting the sounds of the language correct first
Stresses learning to hear and pronunce all the unique sounds of the target language so you develop an ear for them and can learn more efficiently in long term.
