Make sure to look into fluent forever further than the app. They offer boot camps that have changed my language learning experience.
Now with create your own content and coupled with the daily boot camp they offer where what you learn is added to the app after lessons I’m ready to review this app at 5 stars.
This app has become my transit for sentences I’ve really used waiting to become baked in my mind forever. Making a massive impact to my target language.
Come a long way.. Excited to see what fluent forever will have to offer in another year from now.

I can’t even get the app to open on my updated ipad
Good method but not enough content for the price
$18.49 NZD per month is what you would expect to pay for a very premium app that could take you from beginner to proficient in a language. This app only delivers 600 words per language which only gets you to beginner level. Beyond that they thankfully have recently added the ability to add your own words, but then you don’t have the audio of how to pronounce the word.
I would say they need to spend less time on acquiring new customers by adding new languages and more time on deepening the volume of words to learn with the languages they have, to take care of their existing customer base.
Beginner in German
I’m a beginner. This app has some useful practice. Context is missing for vocabulary introduced in the first lessons. Also the words in the first lessons are not high frequency and most useful words. Pronunciation trainer is useful but not great. I wish pronunciation drills were separate units and not mixed in with vocabulary cards.
Great method! But a clunky app
Great tool. Just not as slick UI/UX-wise when you compare it to other apps like Memrise or Duolingo. Also a little annoying that images you set to cards disappear very often, so you get a blank card that you’re supposed to review. I think the method is brilliant! It would just be more enjoyable from a user-perspective if it didn’t lag quite so much between cards and images weren’t lost. Would also be great to be able to customise vocabulary to focus on.
