Hik-Connect - for End user

Loads to 99% and then nothing. Please fix this problem. I see SEVERAL reviews all repeatedly stating the same problem.

Camera images are good, and the cameras open in live view pretty quickly. But playback is horrible. The system automatically records based on motion detection, but very few of the video clips will play back. The display counts up the percentage into the 80’s or 90’s, then freezes and throws an error message that the wifi network is bad. Absurd because other video clips will play back just fine, and it’s the same network. If I want to see what happened at a certain day and time, I have about a 10% chance of being able to. You guys need to fix this.

I had this app less than one week and it was working really good the first few days now I can’t even access my cameras they will load all the way to 99% and then crash. Going to be switching

Since the release of version 6 turbo/analog systems do not have ptz functionality in the app. That is also true with motorized varifocal cameras. The ptz pan and tilt feature came back in the 6.3 update if I remember correctly. As of 5/22/2024 zoom and focus is still not even in the app. I understand IP is the future and analog is not a priority, but these functions worked fine until app Version 6 was introduced. Since I’m already complaining, the speed setting in ptz IP cameras is no longer corresponding with zoom as of version 6.3.

Can't playback! I'm the only one using the app, and it keeps showing "the number of streaming channels exceeded the limit." How is that even possible? I don't recommend this app!

I stopped using Hik-Connect because it always crashed/hacked my iPhone 15 Pro, causing me to lose access to cellular data for about 5 minutes. Apple doesn’t care about the issue, and Hikvision said they have never heard of it. I’m now using the Guarding Vision app to view my cameras; it crashes less often than Hik-Connect.

No shortcuts and STILL no apple watch! I want to be able to access relays fast w/o 1000 click!

It appears the last software update has broken the application and I can no longer access live camera feeds. It comes out right around 99%. Everything else works fine.

For over 5 to 6 months now, consistent issues with this app. Several times a week cameras will automatically go off-line and not be visible until I go to my location and reset the system completely. Very inconvenient. There’s always a limit on viewing the camera before it goes off-line as well. Highly do not recommend.
