One of the worst app
The app is really poor, nothing special, it’s too slow when you are in the app, the download is really slow (doesn’t download from the camera to my iPhone, I need to do it at my computer).

■ Transfer images from a camera to a smartphone
- You can transfer images/videos.
- The selection and transfer of images after shooting are no longer needed as the automatic background transfer function allows images to be transferred to a smartphone as they are captured. *1

This is convenient for capturing night views or water flowing scenes which need long-exposure, or macro shooting in which you need to avoid to directly touch the camera.
*3 Models that support PlayMemories Camera Apps can use this feature by installing "Smart Remote Control" (in-camera app) on your camera in advance.

- With cameras that have a location information linkage function, the location information acquired by the smartphone can be added to the captured image in your camera.

Bad implementation
The app can’t be taking 10 minutes to transfer 10 24mpixel photos from my 2019 Sony a6400 to my iPhone 13 Pro in iOS 16. My GoPro can transfer over 10gb videos in 10 minutes and this is an understatement. Also many random network disconnections. Sony should invest in better app engineers and make a decent one from scratch, or else it is just useless. I should carry an SD adapter everywhere now.
Unbelievable problems for Sony
There no space to criticize the app. The worst app I ever use! I can’t believe that is represented Sony. We cant work with a7III! What else can I say?

Θα ήθελα να σας εκφράσω τη δυσαρέσκεια μου για την εφαρμογή σας, απο που να ξεκινήσω φτωχή η σύνδεση μέσω Wi-Fi δύσκολη και κουτή πρέπει κάθε φορά να προσπαθώ να σκανάρω το qr και να μην γίνεται αλλά πάνω απ όλα άχρηστη δεν σου προσφέρει τίποτα παρά μόνο εκνευρισμό . Λυπάμαι η μηχανή α6000 ειναι υπέροχη αλλά η υποστήριξη ειναι ανύπαρκτη. Hallo κάντε κάτι η Sony μπορεί ΕΣΕΙΣ ?.
No AF for a7r3
For apse line since cheap nex models touch af used to work perfectly With a7r3 no af option for remote control. This is beyond any logic. It totally renders remote shooting useless.
Sony just doesn’t know how to create nice looking apps
Shoneys missing the culture of being able to create a well-designed, easy to use app. They really need do use more native interface, because buttons sometimes click sometimes don’t, the UI is terrible, and the potential is there but the functionality is missing
