- You can view and transfer images in your camera from your smartphone even when the camera is turned off. *2
- After transferring, you can immediately share your high quality images on social networks or through email.

- You can capture photos/videos remotely while checking the live view of a camera on a smartphone. *3
This is convenient for capturing night views or water flowing scenes which need long-exposure, or macro shooting in which you need to avoid to directly touch the camera.
*3 Models that support PlayMemories Camera Apps can use this feature by installing "Smart Remote Control" (in-camera app) on your camera in advance.

■ Record location information
- With cameras that have a location information linkage function, the location information acquired by the smartphone can be added to the captured image in your camera.
For supported models and detailed operation methods, see the support page below.

Sony realy?

Who ever worked on this app should be fired as fast as possible! Is that hard to ask to send some picture to my phone/tablet? we pay thousands for your products and we get this crap from a huge company like you!

Full of bugs

andreitd on

For an application replacing a passably usable one, this is frustrating. A frustrating example is that sharing an image imported from camera doesn't work. If you try selecting an image (while hashtags are enabled), then share button and send to a WhatsApp contact, it will create a message containing some stupid hashtags and NO image! Not to mention that it tends to hang during image transfers when selecting from app even though the device is connected to camera wifi. Of course, there is no way to report an issue.

Unstable, Slow, Unreliable

SzSimonB on

The application simply does not represent Sony. The hardware is great, but this app is just the opposite. I am unable to send more than two-three pictures before an unkown error occurs. Sending time has improved since I first used the app but it is still awfully slow for wifi. I mean, if live 4k streaming is a thing, sending a raw image should be simpler, I think. I gave 1 star, because simple use-cases are not covered and seemingly untested.

Sony A7r4

why didn’t work to register my camera sonyA7R4 to the application? you have to do some massive updates to your application this request is available to Transfer & Tagging add-on . Hope someone is seeing my message. Will wait a new update.

Real honest review

To be honest, works perfect for me. I have a 6300 and an iphone 13. You need to connect to the wifi of the camera, then open the app and scan the QR code on the display of the camera. Connects in a second ! Perfect remote☑️ Easy adjust settings ☑️ Fast picture download to phone ☑️ Qualitative previews ☑️ and much more. It is easy to hate on a thing if you have no clue how to use it. Of course, sometimes the apl may glitch but no worries, the Sony team gets it covered ! So stop being such stupid and haters and actually give it a go before commenting. Big up !

Pretty bad app

Has connectivity issues and there is no option to delete imported photos?? Most annoying thing to deal with.

An honest review.

An application that continuously disconnect/fail to connect to the camera on any IOS version, is a sure fail. It doesn’t matter what features it contains, if it raises your blood pressure every time you click it. And it’s getting embarrassing. While there’s a robot walking around on Mars, collecting stuff and sending analysis back to Earth, while another one flies around in almost no atmosphere, your experts cannot create a solid connection between my camera and my phone, in my room. You need new jobs.

New update doesn’t show any picture when trying to select on smarphone
