I have been asked to provide KYC documents for an account I’ve had with Revolut for a few months. This is standard practise, no issues with that, but the way they communicate with you regarding documents is terrible. If anything isn’t accepted they don’t provide a reason. Also, their KYC team is incompetent and don’t understand the documents that prove ownership or shareholding. I have provided a set of statutory books to evidence ownership, which is accepted by Companies House and external legal counsel, but for some reason Revolut doesn’t accept this. They want an organisational structure. So a picture provides more evidence than a legal register of ownership, how does that make sense? Very frustrating.
Online shops should keep away from Revolut
Onlinebusineses should keep away from Rev. Every 3 mnths we face idiotic checks as if we are drug dealers. No any org can treat its customers so rudely. They ask docs never asked by gvrmnt. A lot restrictions. I can’t trust them.

Frustrating Experience with Revolut Business Account Setup
This has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I attempted to set up a business account for my new company in the UK and faced numerous issues during the sign-up process. Despite providing my share codes as proof of residency—since I don’t have a visa—the system repeatedly failed to recognize them, even though these codes work on multiple platforms. The support team asked for the same information multiple times for 4 days!, claiming it didn’t work, which was incredibly frustrating. I even provided them with a step-by-step guide on how to process the codes as was requested, yet they still failed to resolve the issue. There were also persistent problems with uploading documents, adding to the confusion and delays. When I requested a complaint form, I was abruptly blocked from the app and informed that I could not open a business account at this time. This entire ordeal has been nothing short of torturous. It’s truly disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to leveraging Revolut’s favorable exchange rates for my international customers. The overall incompetence has been disheartening.
IBAN doesn’t work and unhelpful team
My IBAN does not work, so none of my international clients have been able to send me payments. The support team refuse to recognise this or rectify. If you have international payments, I would recommend you use a different bank for your company.
