• UBS key4 business for the founding of an SA or SARL
Do you meet the requirements to use our Mobile Banking App?
• iPhone with at least iOS version 15.0
• You are client of a UBS Group company and benefit from UBS’s corresponding digital services.
How secure is our Mobile Banking App?
In short, UBS Mobile Banking provides state-of-the-art security.
How? Our security concept protects you fourfold. We uniquely identify you with the Access App or Access Card. By defining security settings and activating real-time notifications, you can increase security even more. Furthermore, we use artificial intelligence to check certain transactions for irregularities. And we help you use the internet safely – see our security recommendations on ubs.com/security.

Feels like it is on life support
Comparing it to my other banking apps, this app does not inspire confidence. Having another app to authenticate you is laughable and just plain weird. What about 2FA with TOTP codes, a standard and proven method? The app itself isn’t optimised for modern iOS screen sizes. Forget about updates for latest OS features like dark tinted icons or widgets. You cannot copy and paste in fields that should allow it and do across the system and other apps. A frustrating and unintuitive speed bump. Textbook “security over UX” trade off that’s done without actually thinking. These amongst others make it feel like this is an app that was contracted to cheap development and is now in maintenance mode by non technical people too scared to touch it. UBS, this is the most frequent way we interact with your brand. It stains it and screams incompetence.

Wenn es funktioniert, ist die App fähig die üblichen Funktionen einer Banking App durchzuführen. Jedoch kommt es oftmals dazu (und dies zu manchmal sehr unpraktischen Zeitpunkten), wo man nicht einloggen kann und die App für Stunden nicht verfügbar ist. Für eine Grossbank wie UBS sollten solche “downtimes” unakzeptabel sein.
App works, why is it 800mb ???
This is a simple app and it works but it is hugely bloated, which means it is very slow to download updates on bad connections. That is unnecessary - remove 95% of the unnecessary code libraries and I bet it’ll work just as well.

Budget function removal
What happened being able to see a breakdown of your expenses in the app???
Doesn’t work half of the time
Every second time I use the app all favorites and functions stop working (try later). iPad browser: despite of update a minute ago UBS blocks access because of outdated browser. I will change banks now after 20 years!

It gets worse and worse
Load times are unacceptable. Completely freezes while in the middle of using. Screen transitions are unintuitive. Can’t go back without starting over.
Big bug
The app is mostly good and useful and easy to use, with one significant exception: when paying e-bills, the bill always comes right back to the inbox “to do” after you’ve scheduled a payment. This means it is VERY EASY to pay the same bill twice. And you cannot cancel the order so I guess I have to double pay a huge bill and then ask for my money back later??
