Great for mindfulness, not so great for deep rest

I really wanted to give 5 stars. The Sam Harris Introductory Course was the best meditation course that I ever took, really, life changer. Unfortunatlelly the deep rest course is not what I expected, the instructor Kelly Boys talks fast, loudly, in a frantic way, passing too many instructions at the same time, making it impossible to focus or rest. I downloaded the app for the deep rest course and for it I was disapointed , but luckly I discover the Sam Harris meditation course that change my perspective about meditation. I will continue with the mindfulness courses in the app, they are really worth it, nevermind the deep rest course.

Most likely one of the best and most life changing practices certainly is meditation. This app is really perfect for that, very well designed and filled with content that’s easy to consume but meaningful in its own way. Very recommended.

Não existe nada como Waking Up. Nesse aplicativo você será guiado para a meditação entendendo exatamente o que significa essa postura. O criador do aplicativo é um neurocientista que passou anos estudando as religiões orientais e suas perspectivas sobre o que chamamos de eu. O sentido de self, a sensação de ser um “eu” experimentando as coisas, é uma ilusão. E a meditação é a forma correta de treinar a mente para perceber o mecanismo que cria a ilusão, e a verdade por trás dessa falsa identidade. O conhecimento que esse aplicativo traz é muito rico. A forma que ele aponta para a realidade única do Ser, sem vocabulários religiosos ou clichês, é única. Eu gosto do Headspace, mas as meditações do Waking up nos da insights que o Headspace não trás. Sam Harris é o cara!

Estou usando o app a cerca de 20 dias. Já tinha iniciado minha experiência com meditação com o app Headspace e depois cheguei a participar de retiro de meditação Vipassana. Ainda assim achei que o Waking Up me trouxe uma nova e rica experiência, expondo diferentes técnicas de forma clara. Recomendo fortemente.
