MasterClass: Become More You

With the lowest subscription, which is already super expensive (120eur), you cannot download the videos. This is a real pity as I would have used it way more often. In the end, I took 2 courses in a year which had good tips but also nothing life changing. They were staying very much on the surface but I guess it depends on which course you take. Even if, in general, I believe in these 15-20min classes there is a limit to what you can learn.

The best investment is to invest in self development. This is high level teaching!!

Super Masterclass by Margaret Atwood. She helped me to get rid of that writersblock.

Nothing special on the app itself. But the course offered by Masterclass and very few and uninteresting. They are really good at making you believe that learning from such known people is priceless, but there is nothing there to learn here. Get into LinkedIn learning instead. Way more courses to chose from. From real teachers.

It is a shame that the Masterclass Platform is not as user friendly as the Netflix one or a podcast one. When you listen to your class on your iPhone and get a call, when the call is over the system doesn’t continue. You need to select again the class you’re in and then approximately the timeline you were listening to. It is not a multi devices friendly platform either. Too bad because the content is great. I’m sure they will get better in the future ;-)

Quality is great! But the offline mode doesn’t work... I can download, but I am not able to watch my downloads.

The custom video player in the Apple TV app offers a bad user experience compared to the native video player. Skipping forward or scrolling through the video using the Apple TV remote simply doesn’t work.

I expect to receive a well finished product for €99. The subtitles are wrong a lot of times, the resolution is +- the download function doesn't work properly. The content of Timbaland's masterclass is very mediocre. It's more of a beginners guide.

If you like listening to people blather about nothing, very slowly, then these classes might be for you. Otherwise, save your money. These courses are nothing but celebrities and pseudo-experts talking just to talk while they regurgitate a handful of basic facts most people already know. The rest is pure filler. If I were to write down everything I learned it *might* be one bullet point per course I sat through. But these are neither entertaining nor engaging courses, so nothing is there to make up for the lack of actual information.
