Customer service messaging kept disconnecting
Customer service messaging kept disconnecting throughout the enquiry. Had to keep closing the restarting the app to get reconnected with the server. No internet issue on my part. Thankfully the chat history remains and does not close despite having to restart the app multiple times.
Unable to verify phone number.
Wrote in for assistance 2 weeks ago and was told that I would hear back within 3 days, hadn’t heard back. Now being told to wait another 48 hours.
Battery problem
There is a problem with the recent version. My phone starts getting warm for no reason. I check the battery and 60% is being used by United. I don’t even have any active flights and have not been using the app. I have to restart the phone to make it stop.
The best airline app
I’ve used dozens of airline apps… this is easily the best one I’ve ever tried.

When I was recently in northern Wisconsin, I tried to use your app to redeem a ticket with my miles.
As my Singapore mobile account was unable to access data roaming, tried to use my phone with a US-based SIM card to make the booking and changed the phone number to my temporary US number from AT&T so that I could receive alerts etc.
No dice. I must have spent an hour on this futile bid.
I use a Singapore-issued credit card to make the additional payment. Your app refused to accept my SINGAPORE zip code which has six numbers. It wanted a zip code with five numbers. Obviously, I could not supply that.
I had to give up and contact my travel agent in Singapore to buy the ticket.
This is totally frustrating.
