While the training program is OK, when you first use the app it asks you a bunch of questions to assess your fitness and running level - then dumps you at the start of the program anyway. So what was the point of the questions? Market research? If you already run 5k it’s way too easy to start at the beginning. But the most disappointing thing is the Apple Watch integration. Sure, it gives cues for when to run, but it doesn’t track heart rate, and doesn’t share anything useful (no HR, no gps) to the health app, so if you use Apple health or Strava it’s next to useless. Also, the running pace is totally inaccurate. And you have to pay to discover this.
There are free alternatives that doesn't lock your progress. Don't encourage this payment model for getting in shape.
Really good and extremely supportive! And it's working, I swear!!

Very good
Love this app! Perfect amount of coaching and I can play my running playlist on Spotify in the background.
I’ve tried several couch to running apps before and this is by far the best one in terms of layout showing you what’s next showing you what’s left and end up run metrics
I have the 5K and the 10K versions. Love them both. It’s so helpful to have the built-in coach telling me when to transition from walk to run throughout the workout. Would love to see you create a 5K and 10K Walk app for those of us that can’t run anymore. One that transitions from warm up, to brisk walk, and then intervals of brisk walking and power-walking. I do that now with the 5K and the 10K. Certain Wk/Dy runs with a higher number of changing walk/run intervals are conducive to swapping them out for brisk walk/power walk intervals, so I just repeat those days! Thanks for a great app!
This has been a great app to increase my running endurance- but it’s all based on time, not distance. I got to the end today and “earned” the 10K badge- but, including the 10 minutes of walking and hour of running, I only completed 5.5 miles. It’s anticlimactic to complete a weeks-long program only to find that you didn’t meet your goal. I would guess most people who use this app don’t start with a less-than-10 minute mile. I’m going to keep going and will actually run a 10K in a couple of weeks- so thanks to the app for getting me most of the way, but I would have liked to have closed the program with the actual goal. It needs to be called the 1-hour runner or something… not as cool of a name but at least it’s not misleading.
