Firmware update over the air
You can access your dashcam through a direct connection via Wi-Fi. Once connected, you can access all the videos stored on the dashcam's microSD card, adjust the camera angle, and modify BlackVue's settings as needed. You can also apply firmware updates wirelessly (FOTA).
BlackVue Cloud is a dedicated service for BlackVue users that allows you to access your BlackVue from anywhere at any time. Creating a BlackVue Cloud account is simple and free. After creating an account, you can register your Cloud-compatible BlackVue in the app and configure it to connect to your hotspot.

*update* Worked fine for about a week after the last update, now having constant problems connecting to the camera again… Having to remove the camera from the app and manually adding it again everytime just to be able to download clips to my phone is very irritating. Same thing with trying to manually set the date and time… Remove camera from the list, add it once again, connect, set time and save, restart the camera to get the correct time for recordings, and you’re unable to connect to the camera again… start over or just ignore the problem. Not good. After the latest update i cannot connect to my DR590X camera at all. Good camera but the software is junk.
Unusable
After updating the app and updating the camera’s firmware, the camera will not connect to my phone. The camera’s WiFi-network password was reset by it’s self, and due to this I am unable to connect to the camera. My BlackVue -camera model does not support the Bluetooth -wireless pairing system with the BlackVue -app, and thus needs to be connected via WiFi. And as I am unable to do so, the camera has become unusable.

New WiFi issue
Whenever the phone is connected to the home wifi, the app doesn’t allow to get in BlackVue Cloud: the error message says that the phone is connected to the camera’s wifi, but it’s not !
Needs development, less ads
There are several UX issues that should be fixed. The worst is the lack of timestamps in file listings. Thumbnails are not loading before opening a clip. This makes it very hard to find what you’re looking for. Another annoying feature is advertisement at launch. I just bought a camera a few days ago, why would I be interested in another one? This ad can be dismissed but pops again a day later. Annoying.
Good camera let down by software
The app is tedious to use.
What has changed
Complete blocks of driving time not being recorded? Why is this happening? Please advise, urgently.
Not good enough
Terrible app for such an expensive and well known dashcam brand. App is slow and unreliable, and constantly logs you out. This really isn’t acceptable.
Frustrated.
Great camera, awful app. Not user friendly, always connecting and disconnecting. Doesn’t work more than it does.
