Firmware update over the air
You can access your dashcam through a direct connection via Wi-Fi. Once connected, you can access all the videos stored on the dashcam's microSD card, adjust the camera angle, and modify BlackVue's settings as needed. You can also apply firmware updates wirelessly (FOTA).
BlackVue Cloud is a dedicated service for BlackVue users that allows you to access your BlackVue from anywhere at any time. Creating a BlackVue Cloud account is simple and free. After creating an account, you can register your Cloud-compatible BlackVue in the app and configure it to connect to your hotspot.

Doesn’t continually record
Since I purchased the cameras they have never always recorded even with brand new car battery. The time is off by 23mins ahead, app doesn’t always connect to cameras to play/DL. The company I purchased from didn’t help me nor tell me I need to buy a SEPARATE battery for camera in order for them to continually record. Nor did the BV company itself didn’t respond back to me. I’m still having issues and I paid a lot for these cameras that are supposed to be top
Cannot access app anymore
I can’t open the app anymore because it wants my email. It was working before without an email. Can I get a refund if I cannot access my camera anymore?
Too difficult to access camera
Latest update has made camera almost impossible to access. It is awful if I needed a video in an urgent matter I’d be stuck signing in and inputting passwords to access clouds I don’t need or want.
Remove the Login Requirement
An account is now required to use the app when it was not before. The lack of account required was a key factor in purchasing the Dash Cam. Why is this now required when it worked just fine before and I have zero intention to use the cloud features? Please remove this login requirement. I can no longer recommend BlackVue dash cams now due to an account being required.
No connection between camera and phone
Unable to connect dash cam and phone after latest update. The system keeps crashing, when trying to format the SD card in the dash cam
Required a login at the worst possible time
I was out on a highway with no cell service and urgently needed to show an officer some dashcam footage. But the app all of a sudden required a login after never needing one before! Absolutely terrible timing
What is going on!
Took money out of my account than cancelled the service and told me to subscribe to some other app for double the money!
App sucks
App completely sucks. I have DR750LW. Spent over $800 CAD. The app used to work and I used to be able to connect to the camera and download my videos. Now, the app does not even recognize the model and does not support it and I’m not able to connect to it to retrieve my files.
Frustrating app, constant bugs
I like the app for what it is supposed to be, but every update seems to break something new or that was already previously fixed. This updates seems to have broken the battery pairing, can’t get status from the camera via cloud anymore, but directly from the battery works. Also, every time I use the app my session is expired and I need to sign back in, leading to the error warning me I have no internet access, which usually requires 1-2 more tries, then it just works.
