Really great app
Used it for a couple of months now, don't regret buying at all. Great UI and functionality, fast on a 4S and is very frequently updated with new features. Better than Apple's podcast app by an order of magnitude.
Buggy and slow
After adding ~10 podcast feeds Downcast is really slow to sync and play podcasts. Has had no significant updates.

Perfect for the power users
Everything can be configured exactly how you like a podcast app to function. Or just use it the way it Is. Very configurable with many options that can be set as default and each podcast can have its own unique settings also. Excellent app - work well and has very nice user interface.
Worth every penny
Does everything a podcast app should do and none of the things you wish it didn’t. Worth every penny. Thank you.
Annoying to use
It works but the UI leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, you have to click three buttons to get to a search field. A step down from Apple Podcasts.
Unsupported!
37 podcasts currently STUCK IN DOWNLOAD QUEUE, as the download there-but-not-yet pool continues to stagnate…
Fantastic app
Came back to Downcast after the rewrite of another popular podcast player made theirs too complicated. Downcast is simple and yet at the same time offers many options for the advanced user. Simple to set up playlists. Works great. Easy to lock episodes if you want to keep some archived. Just works great. Thank you!
