Since new Software version it’s useable. Video is extremely delayed.

Delayed transmission

extremely delayed video and image transmission since the last update. In my opinion this is due to the Camera hub desktop software.

Doesn‘t work since August drivers update…

…and we got no support 3 months now, although elgato is aware of the problem. I was forced to buy a webcam to do my job, because I can no longer wait for them to deliver the product I paid for, and was working perfectly fine until they forced us into the new drivers with no option of going back. Money wasted for no good reason. Feels like we got ripped off. Imagine one day your software isn‘t working and there is nothing you can do about it.

Desktop controls

Works fine. What would be great though is if the camera could be controlled via a desktop app. So far, in a conference or stream you would have to stand up, go out of frame to your phone, adjust the settings and get back in front of the camera. Paying for the app, I would expect functionality like that.

Doesn‘t work with iMac and Big Sur

It doesn‘t work on my iMac and Big Sur. It works on my Windows Notebook but not always. I cannot rely on it when having video calls from home. Wouldn‘t buy it again.

Not working!

This app does not work with most video conferencing tools you will encounter on a Mac, so the use as a webcam is very limited. Check their documentation: „EpocCam -Supported and unsupported applications on macOS“ to see if your program is covered or if you end up regretting your purchase.

Unnecessary allowances requested

Works very well! But please make it possible to use this App without Microphone and without local Network access. Sure, Camera access is necessary, but for users who only use the Phone as a USB-cam without mic, it should be possible to use this app without granting Network/Mic. Currently the App just whines about missing permission and doesn‘t work. Then you get full 5 stars!!
