Good features, provides good video quality (phone camera dependent), however can be unreliable. From no connection to PC integration app crashing to intermittent latency. When you rely on consistent availability / reliability during the day as part of remote working, I would suggest a dedicated hardware camera.
Used with USB, unbeatable delay. Makes it unusable. Spent 2 hours trying to fix. Other people in the internet with the same problem.
Has limitations that make it a little useless
The camera is too close, if I turn the phone to go to portrait the app doesn't work. I would like to get a refund
Video quality does not seem HD. Won’t work with things like google meet
Updated my review due to fixing an issue myself. Does what it says, jut the setup was a little tricky with OBS. Had to adjust some settings for it to work. 4 stars because of that experience and also the app doesn’t support anything higher than 1080p 60fps. If you want 4K you will need to look elsewhere.
Long story short, that’s an amazing app but the green screen needs work. All the features work as advertised, however the green screen is around average, the software does not put the green in the space between the headphones and your head, also if you are in angle to the phone it fails to show your ears. But it’s not a professional green screen app, so it’s not a big deal, however it’s something You need to be aware of. Despite that, I am happy with the purchase. The thing I like most is the ability to connect to the computer via wifi and still have the phone connected to charge on USB. All hail Elgato! It amazing, brilliant.
The latest epoc cam windows 10 driver 3.0.6 will cause blue screens when connecting via wifi in landscape mode. Also managed to blue screen by opening the EpocCam viewer (win 10) when the app wasn’t running
When I got it first was working well for a good period of time, now keeps disconnecting while in conversations.
This has been an amazing contribution to easing the COVID 19 restrictions. Easy to set up and use. Thank you.
