IBKR Mobile - Invest Worldwide

Latest update makes option chains worse. No DTE displayed. Smaller and more difficult to read font sizes. Why oh why - well someone got paid a lot to do a new …… UI/UX. The intern?

One of the most infuriating experiences I’ve encountered, from start to finish. Basically have to navigate a maze/complete a quiz to do anything. UI is abysmal, there are countless better options out there.

Using IBKR for its ISA. The positives are low ISA fees for a global legacy broker, wide range of stocks and ETFs, market news, can access an ETF’s MorningStar report. Best of all though is the Portfolio analyst section to monitor your holdings. Provides very detailed reports, charts, figures on your portfolio’s performance. This app’s UI could be improved though, it suffers from the occasional bug. IBKR need to make the dashboard and stock search bar more user friendly. The search function feels dated compared to other platforms. For instance it’s often easier to find an ETF ticker from other apps then type the ticker into IBKR search bar. It’s not made easy for people new to investing (for ISAs). Signing up and opening could be made easier and quicker. Depositing money could be made easier too- other platforms often have seamless connection to your bank account (like Truelayer) which reduce the scope for errors. All in all I do recommend IBKR.

By far the best tech-equipped ISA provider in the UK, IMHO. However, what I don’t understand is given how well and fast the platform works, why the performance charts are so buggy. Switching time frames doesn’t do anything. I just always see the same chart animations and numbers don’t really tie out throughout. Please, this does need an update and I’m happy to revise my review accordingly.

Where have the video feeds to Bloomberg, Bloomberg Asia etc. gone since you updated the app? I have had to go back to the More menu to view this - I can’t find this anywhere in the latest version.

The new change looks hideous!

Way too old school! The interface is not user friendly. It keeps asking for authentication for every single thing I do. Also asks way too many questions about my trading experience and stops me from trading. I wanted to make a trading bot using the API but didn’t even get to that. I’d rather wait my current broker to finish their API.

Been using this app for nearly five years & despite everything that is said I’ve never had any problems with trade execution. The interface takes some getting used to, but I trade frequently & have just got used to it. I set my trades the night before using either Mid-price with a maximum or stop limits & rarely miss an execution. The new app shows more trade history & has a more logical organisation.

I have been with IBKR for a number of years. The platform is easy to use. Executions of trades are simple to do and I am pleased with the fills I get. Couldn’t ask for more.

I can’t even log into this app! I wouldn’t recommend at all. Someone needs to look into this. This doesn’t work at all really bad
