Meetup Reviews

Muito bom👍🏽

É um aplicativo muito bom, por meio dele consigo gerir os meus eventos e está sempre actualizado de todos meetup que se passam no mundo. Recomendo👏🏾

Terrible pay per play model

wildcard _john on

United States

The app itself is behind a paywall, just to see the events. When you do pay or after you take a trial week, you get to see the events which have a one or two sentence description, all of which have their own fees. This is just an empty your pockets scam on people trying to make connections

Something’s broken here

So I downloaded Meetup a couple months ago, but haven’t used it that much. I’d like to start, except the iOS version just doesn’t seem to wanna let me log in on my phone. I try to sign in and the app just buffers indefinitely.

Makes it hard to find what you’re actually looking for

Sweettea1193 on

United States

The app has inconsistent notifications, and every time I’m trying to find the events for the groups I belong to, it’s a treasure hunt. Once I’m signed up to a meet up, seeing notifications for the event is also a hassle. This is a great idea and now that Meetup is charging a LOT for groups to create events maybe some of that can go to UI/IX work?

Your new pricing model is pathetic

Mghv78 on

United States

A site that is obsessed and more concerned about grabbing your money in overpriced unjustified dues for underwhelming unjustified experiences.

Not Nonprofit Supportive like Google and Zoom and many others.

Nonprofit4people on

United States

Too expensive for trying to do good in the community.

Just don’t!

I thought I would try this again after many years but now I quickly remember that there is always drama. There is always somebody who does something they should not and can’t follow the rules or breaks policy. Meetup has a lot of rules, but there’s no way to enforce them and they don’t either.

Soon to be whack

Once they start charging us, the attendance rate will probably drop at least 75 % or more

Popups!

Jacob Rammer on

United States

I wanted to try and find some people to go hiking and backpacking with. From the first time I opened the app and to the point I uninstalled it, it seems every click has a popup wanting me to pay. Also, blocking the attendee list behind a paywall is a serious concern.

New version of meetup not user friendly

Browne123 on

United States

The new meetup is much harder to use. Always has ads popping up and asking for money
