Miele Home Appliance a lack luster experience
Programming a washing machine takes forever because it seems like an API needs to reach out to the washing machine for every single instruction set in the app. While setting instructions you can be easily met with a pop-up stating ‘we have technical issues’ which is outright annoying. When that’s set and done you should pray that the timer you’ve set is honored. I’ve tried several times where the timer is ignored and the machine just starts. Get a Siemens, their appliance system works like a charm.
To many backend issues
Often get messages about there is an technical issue, cannot do anything if program started manually, cannot start without being infringed of the machine- pretty useless other the notifications when a wash is done
Get on top of it
The app works relatively well when configured. When I changed wifi, I spent hours trying to reconnect to my appliance and had to find the solution in a reddit, because the support page was useless and so was the app.
Dyrt vs billigt
Det kan godt være at Miele er dyrere end andre produkter - MEEN de er bare langt mere holdbare. Jeg køber Miele fordi det kan betale sig.
Produktet kan ikke forbinde
App'en åbner men produktet forbinder ikke. I stedet hopper den rundt mellem QR-koder som skal fotograferes og typenummer som skal indtastes, før app'en blot melder "serverfejl" 1.3.14. Det ser ud til at app'en finder at jeg bruger en anden iphone-model end det er tilfældet, og jeg kan ikke rette det i app'en. For et produkt i denne prisklasse som sælger sig bl.a på wifi-funktion i 2024 er det godt nok noget biks...

Bliver bedre med tiden
Mieles app er kommet over de første par børnesygdomme. Appen bliver forbedret his og pist, samt mere stabil. Samtidig med, sker der også en udvikling -godt nok går det langsomt, men det sker.
Dårlig app - god vaskemaskine
Jeg elsker min Miele vaskemaskine, men app’en står slet ikke mål med produktet. Jeg bliver gang på gang forvirret, når jeg prøver at starte en vask, fx: - når jeg søger et program skal jeg scrolle for at se søgeresultatet - når jeg har valgt et program, skal jeg trykke ‘Færdig’ for at komme til næste trin - når jeg har valgt et tidsforskudt program er der to Call to action-knapper - en ‘play’ og en ‘stop’. Da jeg ikke kan se i app’en, at nedtællingen er startet (det kan man se på vaskemaskinen), trykker jeg på ‘play’ - hvilket åbenbart betyder ‘nulstil ventetid og start nu’ Og så er der en lang række andre irritationsmomenter, fx at jeg skal sige nej til markedsføring, hver gang, jeg starter app’en. Juridisk er den adfærd tvivlsom. Det er desværre meget tydeligt, at der ikke er lavet usabilitytest. Det kunne være rart, hvis I fokuserede på at fikse den basale betjening fremfor at give mig tips til aftensmaden!
