Don’t bother

marmite177 on

Found this app and had high hopes, turned out to be a let down, found the app to be repetitive and boring so forgot it’s existence. Subscription auto renewed before I remembered to cancel, emailed company as soon as I saw ping in bank account. Company have refused to issue me a refund and were pretty poor on the customer service front. Simply put. Don’t bother with this app. The company fronts like it’s trying to help people become better versions of themselves, when all they are is scammers. Much better apps out there 👍🏽

Not very engaging

behindthelens2 on

Dull with childish icon and illustrations. Used it for just a few days. Thought I’d cancelled the subscription as not on the App Store then got a renewal email. Immediately contacted their customer service saying I don’t use it, don’t want it but it’s theirs policy to smile and tell you where to go. Well it’s my policy to tell ít like it is and so to summarise in one word - AVOID.

Absolute not ADHD friendly

appreviewellie on

This app takes advantage of the impulsivity element of ADHD and sells you a 6 month plan for $70, there’s no real support just push notifications for ‘time to journal’ and ‘start your bedtime routine’ and very basic ADHD knowledge which is all available for free on the internet or via your care provider.

Absolutely terrible

This app claims to help you manage your ADHD. The assessment online claims my ADHD is severe. I am diagnosed and I know this already. I am on medication and it is starting to help. I downloaded the app based upon its claims that it will improve my ADHD symptoms…. Sounds great. Once I downloaded the app, the first activities were do I have ADHD. ADHD can only be diagnosed by a psychiatrist or a psychologist. This app seems to promote self diagnosis. Medication is the first line treatment, as therapy does not compensate for the differences in brain structure leading to what is thought to be a deficit in dopamine, the neurotransmitter responsible for reward and motivation, which leads to the classic symptoms documented in the DSM-V. There are many other symptoms, such as emotional dysregulation which also need to be taken in to account. There are no specific ADHD features on this apart from education into ADHD. The education is basic, and as I have autism as well and have an interest in neuropsychology I already know what the app is trying to tell me. So will most people with ADHD, as they have been battling it all of their life. The app only monitors mood and anxiety symptoms, which can be co-morbidities of ADHD, but this is not what the app promotes itself as. It does not show your non-validated “ADHD” score that it asks you to take before you take out the subscription. It also does not ask you to repeat this, so there is no monitoring for the reason you downloaded the app in the first place. In fact apart from the useless education section, which runs out after a month, the app is the same regardless of your mental health diagnosis, or in many cases, self diagnosis. I asked for a refund based upon these points and was offered a 50% refund. They have not responded to my request for evidence based validation of what they claim, which is the cornerstone for evaluating the effectiveness of any treatment in healthcare. The app is dangerous, encouraging self diagnosis, giving little insight for those already diagnosed, not monitoring the conditions they claim to be able to “fix” and seems to have no evidence based evaluation to back their claims of providing therapy. I want a refund!

Not useful app

Really not worth the money

Very poor

MRob2019 on

Five days in and the only thing this app seems to do is give you a few paragraphs each day telling you something about ADHD that you could get from a bit of online reading. A waste of time.

awful marketing practices for an useless app

guvidul2662 on

As the title suggests, this is yet another gimmick (remember those brain training apps?) made by people that want to make money off your suffering without actually oferring anything useful whatsoever.

Great to help you focus on yourself

ClaireCoops on

After a period of illness I needed to rehab both the physical and mental side of me. This app is helping me so just that.

Seems good

I have only started using Sensa and am loving it so far

Waste of money

CJdoesnotrate on

I have quite severe ADHD and wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone in a similar position. It’s so bitty and way too much going on to be of any use to anyone who struggles with attention and focus. It doesn’t actually do anything of use that could be beneficial, just asks you how you’re feeling and to write it down. You may get a breathing exercise and it will tell you to exercise…. Total waste of money and feels like it preys on people who are desperate to make a positive change in their life with a pile of croc.
