Art mode stinks

Polish princess 15 on

United States

Terribly frustrating. The app in art mode keeps telling me to connect to the same network as the tv however I can use every other feature (including the remote option) so it’s clearly paired and on the same network. It’s beyond frustrating to pay for a product that you can’t use.

Absolutely worthless

hiodshih on

Unable to add any of my brand new appliances. No useful support or troubleshooting. Just “restart router” like that will do anything at all. Yes I have 2.4GHz and WPA2. Uninstalling this waste of time

Millennials

Dear fellow millennials, I as a computer engineer told you my fellow millennials that AI and cloud servers were a bad idea. Because of the security flaws in cloud based servers, we have two step factors to log into everything now. Break your Samsung phone and buy an apple, you gotta start a brand new Facebook and you can’t use this useless app. If you gave this app five stars, it should have been you who were aborted or killed in a mass shooting. Your life decreases the value of this planet.

You have to download the remote for your TV, every single day. It serves no justice. Use a remote

UPDATE NOW

Jasminmarie143 on

The app is always malfunctioning and closing. Cannot edit apps in homescreen or anything so you have to search for every app. Very outdated and so many bugs. No update in two years!

Absolute trash

Platypusrex256 on

This app assumes the user is deeply committed to Samsung products and suffers from major bloat. I have a frame TV. I don’t need my tv app to also dim the lights and access the thermostat. I just want a remote on my phone.

Lousy Connectivity

I have been a Sengled customer since 2022 and really not had very many problems with the lightbulbs. I currently have four hooked up and I am in a wheelchair so Alexa combined with these lightbulbs make controlling the lights in my bedroom very easy. However, about two months ago all of a sudden they stopped working and I spent an entire day and night playing around with the Sengled light app and the Alexa app and the lightbulbs continuously trying to figure out what the problem was. I finally gave up and a few days later I receive an email from Sengled via Alexa saying that they’re having a problem and they have to update the firmware in the lightbulbs which they will do automatically and the lightbulbs should be working again. I neglected to mention during this four day. The lightbulbs would not turn off. About two weeks ago, the problem reoccurred this time with no word from Sengled and no word from Alexa and I kept putting off calling Alexa for help or Amazon for a refund on the bulbs as they are expensive costing roughly $30 for four bulbs. To make a long story short, I receive a message today stating that I can reconnect the bulbs. I have not tried yet. I plan to try very soon. We’ll see what happens. If I do not repost, everything worked out fine if I do repost, it will be a very hot complaint. After two sleepless nights, I finally figured out. That there was a problem with the skill that’s written by Sengled and now apparently they say they have fixed it, but we’ll see. For those of you not that familiar with how Alexa really works there is a interface between every single external device ever made for Alexa and the Alexa app. These interfaces are known as skills. While I still have much to learn about skills, I know that they are provided by the product manufacturer and automatically installed into Alexa. I do not know if it’s possible to write your own skill to perform certain tasks together, but that’s something we’re all gonna have to research on our own if I learn more about skills I’ll be happy to post it here. But if Sengled does not work this time, I’m calling Amazon for a refund on the bulbs and buying bulbs from a different manufacture. These are not fancy bulbs either they don’t change colors. They’re basically a replacement for a 60 to 100 W light bulb that are capable of dimming either through the sled app. Directly or if it works correctly through Alexa, just by saying Alexa dim the lights 50% and it does that or at least it

Easily the stupidest “smart” app I’ve ever used

The_Cuvititan on

Very obviously sending every little input, ad read, and movement to the internet for data farming before even sending it to my TV. Doesn’t even connect half the time. Just get a new remote - this app is data profit slop.
