Wrong platform information

The platforms for Italy are inaccurate. I missed my train and the app has no way to request a refund.

They overcharge

This app is such a disappointment. They prey on tourists who aren’t aware of the true cost of train fares. I was in Germany recently. I had already purchased a couple of trips with this app, then I became aware of the app the locals used. Trainline was charging $200 usd more for 5 people than what the other app charged. Do your research and ask the locals. Buy rail passes as much as possible, and avoid this scamming app.

Refused Me a Refund

I purchased 1st class tickets from Trainline in Scotland, going from Edinburgh to Inverness. Upon the train arriving, there was not even 1st class seats on the train. Thus, I paid for something that didn’t even exist. When attempting to get a refund, they refused because “my tickets had already been scanned” which I did because I still needed to catch my train. Trainline is pathetic, wouldn’t recommend using them. Go elsewhere for your train tickets.

app doesn’t accept any payment method. useless.

using this app i’ve attempted to book several trains over the course of the month and always, whether i’m a guest or i’m logged in, no payment methods work. travel credit card, paypal, none work and there is no explanation as to why. useless app

Does not stand behind tickests

We bought tickets from Trainline for a journey froml Nice airport to Ventimiglia. Our train never arrived, so we had to acquire alternative transport. We contacted Trainline for a refund and we were told that refunds are only available before the date of travel. No one could have known that the train wouldn’t arrive before the date of travel. The customer service phone number provided on the website does not give a country code. They happen to be in the UK.

No updates

Be careful with this App. Traveling from Munich to Zell Am See and they don’t update times and STATION CHANGES. Good thing I showed up early and good thing I checked with information. I’m gonna delete it after this trip.

Horrible experience

I cancelled a FlixBus booking expecting to get a full cash refund. After talking with a representative they told me they only give vouchers. I asked if I could use it towards the train and they said yes. On further investigation I found out I couldn’t. I’m out $40. I live in USA and wouldn’t be able to use it. This company is aweful.

Cool app, can’t pay for anything

It would be useful if you could actually book your train here. The payment process is broken however. Need to use other apps/sites to complete your process.

Generally ok

The app functions for the most part and is convenient, but the refund button does not work. I recently had a token on a train that was cancelled due to union strikes, but I couldn’t request a refund for the ticket whose departure time (if it hasn’t been cancelled) has passed nor for the connecting train that I wouldn’t be able to make due to the cancellation.
