No notifications
I have turned on notifications both in app settings on allowed them on ios settings but still not receiving notifications when the cameras detect movement or people. Any idea why this may be?

Connection issues every time
Local udm pro connection is often unable to connect at all, other times intermittent and laggy to the point of being useless. Expensive kit and useless software is how ubiquity roll Edit: 6 months later same issues
Simply the best
How refreshing it is to have something just work and work well. This puts all other companies to shame. Highly recommend 10/10 Please add the ability to silence notifications from a camera for a few minutes or so.
Fast, easy, reliable
Does what you hope it would. The only other setup I’ve used is Arlo but this is better.
Cloud required to connect to local cloud key
I bought the cloud key and cameras to avoid other cloud based vendors. Only to find The app need s an internet connection and cloud services to access a box in front of me. Fail.
Geofencing is useless!
One of the main attractions to UniFi protect was the geofenced notifications. It doesn’t work at all. Completely useless.
Unreliable and unable to access unless on same network
Only supports remote access if you use their cloud service (Unreliable and has a history of being compromised). Also you’re unable to access the NVR unless you are on the same VLAN. Complete joke for something advertised as being a professional solution.
Geofencing is useless
I’ve been using Protect for close on 3 years now and still they have not managed to fix notifications. I get movement notifications when at home , when I have set the controller to only notify when I am away. In my opinion this is a critical feature !
Latest update forces audio on
Imagine sitting in the office and checking your home cameras - the audio comes through immediately. Previous versions it was off by default. Make an option for the user instead of us scrambling to turn to silent.
No local support
When UBNT cloud services are down I can’t access my cameras directly through a WAN IP. Only if I’m connected to the same network. Useless. They tie everything to their cloud- destroying the whole point of going with their gear in the first place.
