I am deeply dissatisfied with the way Booking.com handled my recent reservation. On December 5th, I booked a room for the night of December 7th at The Elysia Park Residence by Home Owner for SGD 52.03 through the Booking.com platform. On the day of check-in, at 9:59 AM, I was contacted by the owner via WhatsApp, requesting an additional RM 200 deposit, despite having already paid for the booking. I informed the owner that I had already paid the required amount and refused to make any further payments. The owner insisted that I pay the additional deposit or I would not be allowed to check in. Following this, I contacted Booking.com at 6:06 PM on the same day. After waiting nearly 20 minutes for a representative to answer, I explained the situation. The customer service representative assured me that I should not be asked for any additional payments and confirmed that I had the right to refuse such a request. I was advised that Booking.com would contact the owner and that I would receive a follow-up. I also made it clear that I had secured alternative accommodation and requested a refund for the booking. Two days later, on December 9th, I followed up with Booking.com, as I had not received any communication. Once again, I was told that they would reach out to the owner and that I would receive a response soon. However, after several days passed with no further updates, I called again on December 18th. At this point, I had explained my situation at least three times and received the same response—nothing had been done to resolve the issue beyond sending an email to the owner. I requested to speak with a manager and, after being placed on hold for 16 minutes, was eventually transferred to a representative named Ms. Hoga. She assured me that they were doing everything they could to assist in securing my refund, but indicated that I would have to wait an additional 5 working days for a resolution. On December 25th, I received an email from Booking.com, which stated that they were unable to resolve the issue and essentially encouraged me to resolve the matter directly with the owner. This email confirmed that Booking.com had taken no meaningful action to assist me in obtaining a refund and effectively placed the responsibility on me to resolve the situation. The handling of this case by Booking.com has been wholly unsatisfactory for the following reasons: 1. This is my first time staying in this hotel and I must say the staff is excellent. From the moment I checked in, I felt he warmth and sincerity of the staff at the reception area. They were friendly and very welcoming . I would like to mention the following staff who were so very nice and made my stay a memorable one. They are Han, Tony, Keisha and Robin. They made a big difference and I am very happy I chose this hotel. I will definitely return on my next visit . On check-out day, I had breakfast at the restaurant. It was full and there were only 3 staff preparing food and drinks, clearing the tables and making sure the guests were comfortable. They did an excellent job. Their service attitude was impeccable and the way they managed was absolutely commendable. They were always so polite, patient and accomodating. Eden the person preparing the eggs was even running out to clear the tables. The person preparing coffee, despite being busy with so many orders did not compromise on the quality and presentation of his drinks and his pride and passion in his job was very impressive . The quality of food was excellent . Having travelled in Vietnam for almost 20 years, I must say Silverland has displayed service excellence comparable to 5 star hotels internationally. The rooms are clean, well maintained and comfortable. The housekeeping were also very friendly always acknowledging the guests along the hallway despite the language barrier. Thank you Silverland . I had the pleasure of staying at Hanoi Suite Plaza Hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel's location is a dream for any traveler, situated amidst the vibrant streets teeming with cultural and historical charm. With countless eateries offering both traditional and modern cuisine, as well as nearby traditional and wholesale markets, the surroundings were a feast for the senses. On weekends, the streets transform into a bustling pedestrian zone with vendors and lively crowds, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the Hanoi way of life. Our stay in the triple room was nothing short of exceptional. The room was impressively spacious, easily accommodating our three large suitcases without feeling cramped. The views of Hanoi's bustling streets from the room were captivating, offering a unique perspective of the city's daily life. The bathroom was a standout feature, with a separate toilet and shower that were impeccably clean and well-maintained. The water pressure and temperature were perfect, providing a refreshing and comfortable experience. The beds were generously sized and firm, offering excellent back support—an absolute blessing after long days of exploring. Breakfast was another highlight, served in a setting with breathtaking views of the cityscape. The menu offered a delightful mix of local and international options. The freshly made Vietnamese pho, drizzled with lime and chillies, was a comforting start to the day, while the personalized pancakes and fresh fruit platters were simply delightful. The staff's hospitality was the cherry on top. Julie, Mia, and the rest of the team went above and beyond, ensuring every detail of our stay was perfect. Their attentiveness and genuine care for guests made this stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

The rooms were comfortable and the indoor onsen was great, near to the ski mountains and the highlight is definitely the homemade breakfast that kept us full till lunch!
