Scam drivers and misleading app

The estimated fare is never accurate. The driver can punch in any fare manually which didn’t make sense. My driver intentionally took a longer route and insisted google maps cannot be trusted in Rome

Bad experience

Pre booked at day in advance to get to the train station in Rome . A driver was found and then cancelled a few minutes before he was due . App spend a few minutes searching for a new driver, then no driver was found and was cancelled at the time we were meant to be picked up . Won’t use this again

Rubbish

Had an awful experience trying to get from Heathrow airport to London city - first driver cancelled on us, second pretended to pick us up (started the trip on his app) before cancelling, app didn’t update properly so couldn’t contact the first two drivers and showed the wrong number plate for the third driver which made it hard to find, eta for pick up and to destination were false, could only pay with one of four cards for some reason and transaction declined first two times. Thank goodness the third driver took us. Waited over 45 minutes to get a car. Will never use FreeNow again.

Different prices

I understand that they give you an estimate price from one place to another but I had a taxi from 4km from Rome airport and got charged twice the price that informed me on map. Big surprise for me not so much for the driver… I wasn’t going to argue specially since the drive showed me it’s a fixed rate. FIX THAT ON YOUR APP BECAUSE UBER HAS THE RIGHT PRICE and that’s why we picked this app. Must be up to on taxi rates on every city!

Utterly useless

The positive reviews on this app must all be fake. My wife and I both downloaded this app. She had a conference in Rome. Pre booked her car. It never turned up. Over 5 days we regularly tried to book a car or taxi via the app. Not a single time we’re either of us able to get a car or taxi. I don’t know what the game is but at least in Rome you would be better trying to order a flying pig! Do not waste your time with this app.

Who needs public transport

Not with this app, except for the business area which is way too restrictive. But otherwise a great app!

Absolutely useless in Paris - do not use!

I used the app to try to book a taxi in Paris. Nothing was available after 5 mins so it suggested I try find a ride share. It also failed to find a driver within 5 minutes. I then used another taxi app and found a taxi within a minute. I then cancelled the FREENOW trip but I was charged a 7.95 euro fee. What a joke! Now I’m trying to dispute the cancellation fee but I’m finding it very difficult.

FreeNow prebooking

I prebooked in Naples, Italy and the driver canceled 5 minutis before departure time. I payed 11 euros for prebooking and they did not return any of it. Scammers. Rating 0!

Unable to create account

I’ve installed the app but unable to create the account as the phone number selector is not working and I can’t proceed :/
