Since I use this app, I build a complete new quality of awareness regarding my own thoughts (= sustainable awareness). If you want to understand yourself better (your emotions, thoughts, behavior, etc.) this app is the best investment you can do in your life.
I use this as one of many puzzle pieces to improve my mental health. It has helped me quite a bit in gaining different perspectives on my feelings and thought processes and making a change. I love its simplistic approach. The only things I wish for would be different calendar layouts instead of just a list. And maybe some kind of self-defined labels that can be used for repeated activities, behaviours and such. For example tracking medication, alcohol, or food intake, sporting activity etc.
This is my first app review, and you know what? Moodnotes is hell of a happy maker!
As a concept, I find it very welcome and helpful. I feel that this app can help me have better mood more often and understand myself better. As an application, it's very pleasant to use, very well designed, and looks lovely.
Thx to the app, I noticed a pattern of when I was in a bad mood and could make changes accordingly.
I like the idea behind the app and it helped me to get out of bad moods. I think that it truly can help and make your thinking more positive. The foams to write your entries could be more convenient.
I have found CBT to be very helpful but to get the most out of it (at least for me), I really need to write down my thoughts, mental distortions, etc. Historically, paper and pen simply take too long and I quickly fall out of the habit. Moodnotes has been a game changer. Data entry is fast and easy, especially since I can use the dictation feature on my iPhone for the text fields. To top it off, the interface is attractive and uncluttered. Great job!
