Unrealistic itineraries!
We wanted to go from Venice to Malpensa Airport. We searched for itineraries in Omio and booked our tickets. The offers are all with a 5 minute transfer from train to train ( or Verona - Milan transfer ) and 20 minutes from Milan to Malpensa express. It is absolutely impossible though to catch the transfer train in 5 minutes! But, you don’t know it until you miss your transfer ! Stop offering by default unrealistic itenararies. Give the option to select each transfer train departure time. We ended up loosing money because of your unrealistic offers, which, unfortunately nobody knows they are unrealistic until you experience it! This is an update as I received the response you can see from the developer. So, the train times of course are given by operators. However, when a person books a trip that includes any number of transfers OMIO by default creates an itinerary with transfer times that are only a few minutes! This cannot be amended by the traveler. Even if you realise they this is not realistic, when you try to change the train times, you still get by default the exact same time for transfer. So if you want to book Milan- Venice with transfer via Verona ( as cost is significantly less) the transfer at Verona is only 5 minutes! When we tried to change the ticket we would get the same transfer time at Verona, so we could leave earlier from Milan but still needed to catch another train in 5 minutes at Verona! For Malpensa express the transfer was again unrealistic, 20 minutes. So, developers : once again, ensure you offer realistic itineraries. We paid a lot of money book the direct train from Venice to Milan because of your “ offers”
