For an app that is only audio and the screen is off when I'm listening a book. I don’t understand why it use so much battery? I can use YouTube app same amount of time and the battery usage is 30% less. And that app has screen on, video playback, and audio.
The list of contents is sometimes out of sync with the audio book. If the list of contents doesn’t contain the chapter that is in the audio book, the list always scrolls to the top, which is annoying. It should track the position of the playback. Also it would be useful for it to show how much is left in the current chapter.
The app crashes constantly while browsing through the library. About 5min of browsing and the app will crash. Every. Single. Time. If I'm only listening, it works as it should, but browsing for books is basically impossible. Truly infuriating...

I wanted to try if the service had been developed since I last reviewed it 5-ish years ago. Nope, still very bad user experience: 1) You get advertised for getting the first 4 months for £2.99/mo but when you click the offer, you get the normal price of £7.99/mo. 2) You pay a monthly subscription but have only a fraction of the catalog. To get it all, you have to wait for 1 credit/mon or pay extra. 3) To be able to use the service, you need to have the app, mobile web and desktop at hand. How is that even an option in modern times?!? The app is for everyday use but you need mobile web for filtering the free books that are included in your monthly subscription AND if you want to cancel your subscription - like I did after a week-or-so - you have to sign in on desktop. Pls check how real modern audiobook services should function, eg Bookbeat, Storytel or Nextory. They’re not perfect but at least you know what you’ll get and the service has been built with users in mind.
The state of this app is horrible. Sorting is broken, titles get shuffled constantly, there are ghost title cards without any info on them and you can’t archive them. On top of that playback problems and the widget doesn’t work

I cannot sign into my account bc of a changed phone number and in order to contact support you need to sign in. I am stuck now with no way out. If you ever need to contact support, just know it’s not going to be easy. I don’t know what to do now.
This application is so useless. Almost every single book I want to listen to is unavailable due to geographical restrictions… and i live in Finland so I don’t get it. I have 9 credits and they are just a waste of money. What’s even more frustrating is that you can find the book on the app, you can purchase it and once it’s done you find out you can’t listen to it. Is it that hard in 2024 to filter out the books that people can’t purchase in their region? I would rather just not see them in the library than get false hopes. Most annoying during long trips. I have nothing else apparently to do than purchase unavailable books and then waste my time trying to get the credits back and find a platform that can actually provide me with what i needed and additionally for less money:/ Funny enough those credits are from several years ago and I didn’t spend them just because there was nothing available i could spend them on. 21st century… can’t buy a book that is in front of my nose.
