Audible: Audiobooks & Podcasts

This is the second book in the series and it is just as captivating as the first. I love how the stories overlap but with different perspectives. I have more sympathy for Henry in regard to his duty to produce a male heir. However I am incredibly impacted upon both of these Queens even though through life they were made enemies. The strength, wisdom and faith of these two queens was stunning. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this beautifully presented historical fiction series.

I wasn’t sure what to expect coming to this book. It was on a reading list some friends use and I thought I’d give it a go. Wow, this should be on everyone’s reading or listening list. Personally, I didn’t relate to the main character, but by the end of the story - actually even part way through - I was in tears for her and her network of friends and family. Initially I felt that it took too long to establish the character and her situation but I see that it helps me to understand that she was not defined by one experience that set her on her path through the courts as a complainant rather than a defence barrister. And once I was invested I hoped against hope that it would not end predictably. But in part it didn’t, it gives us a glimmer of hope that everyone who listens and spreads the word is part of.

Audible is a wonderful way to listen to podcasts and audio books. I myself like listening to Harry Potter and the narration is amazing. It is organised well and it’s very easy to get to your books. Definitely recommend and can use your account for your kids account. 5 star!

An amazing herstory of the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival, that touched my heart, expanded my understanding and through light into corners of the story previously unknown to me. So well written, with honesty, warts and all. I hope that many sisters read this, for eons. Part of me will forever be in the Michigan woods, and in this book, Lisa Vogel, explains why, with eloquence and a magnificence that at times made me weep, and at times laugh. I hope that the wonder that was Michfest continues to live, in the hearts and experiences on the land, for Womyn for girls forever. I hope my granddaughter reads this book one day and that it will help her understand why her grandmother walks around Australia, proudly wearing anyclothing she can find that has the word ‘Michigan’ emblazoned on it! I hope she walks the land one day, and feels that feeling of freedom and safety,I have only ever felt there. Thank you for this book. My heart will hold it close. Every August I will re read it…

A personal, fascinating and humorous look at one man’s relationship with nature that most outdoor-lovers will relate to. Most enjoyable read!

Thank you Audible. I now read and enjoy a lot more genres. I read thrillers, mystery, literature, autobiographical, modern and even a couple of self help titles. I would never have done this in the past I used to just stay with what I was used to. A sample to listen to and daily recommendations has expanded my interest and enjoyment. Thank you for a brilliant app.

this app has the darkest ui pattern for unsubscribing. i did it months ago but it turns out im still being charged. literally just go with someone else.

Need to send more just books

Oh no what have you done with the app? My books are all out of order? Ones I was listening to are not at the top of recent. The sorting has all gone awry! On all of the sort options. Some books are no longer downloaded, some books need to be purchased again! What’s with the weirdly placed tick to indicate it’s been downloaded? It looks like something is wrong or needs clicking.

The latest update on iOS has a bug when you open the library page where some of the books have [ 1 credit ] next to them. I assume as these books have been purchased already a bug has made this occur. As a many year user this is certainly unexpected. An easier way of reporting bugs would be good as the contact options through Audible are rubbish.
