When attempting to book a flight via this app any click will result in a 30 second loading screen. It’s atrocious. So after it takes 5 minutes to get to your screen to purchase the flight; it errors out and doesn’t tell you why. I had to book on their website on a laptop. This rich of a company should fix their app.
I booked a flight earlier today, with two legs, and I didn’t notice on the app that one of the legs was comfort plus and not first class. I decided to check and see if I could get a better seat, then decided I would change my flight because the app said both legs on the different flight were first class. I made the change, I selected first class seats on both flights, I paid $84 +4000 miles fair difference, and completed my purchase. Then when I reviewed my trip, I noticed one of the legs had an unassigned seat and comfort plus. In order to get first class on both legs, I had to pay an additional $197. When I changed my flight, it appeared both legs would be first class. Why did it allow me to select seats first class before completing my reservation and then remove one of the seats? Fortunately, for me, I burned the remaining miles. I have on Delta, and this will be my last flight with this carrier unless I have no other choice.
You’re better off texting yourself your flight number and accessing any information from there. The terminals and gates are more up to date than on the app. The app is basically a shortcut to the mobile website and performs like it.
Went to Check in my carry on bag before getting in the the airport. And manager told that I can take it in the plane with me. I got to the gate delta employees trying to force me to check in when I tried to check it in before getting inside the airport let 90% of people in with their carry on and tell me that I’m late to the gate when my seat was in zone 7. Lady was so rude slammed the gate door in front everyone didn’t even care. Made me miss my flight. When everyone has a right for a carry on.

This is a poor excuse for an app. It’s just a bad wrapper around the delta mobile website. There is no actual “app” code in there that feels solid, it’s all just a rebranded web browser. The UI is clunky and looks dated, the loading times are ridiculous, and the app consistently forgets your booking, or comes up with a “your device is out of memory” error, which has happened to me on multiple current generation iphones. Two stars because, with great patience, you can actually book and change a flight.
The delta app is very convenient. There are a couple of downsides though. The app is slow. The other downside is trying to upgrade seats. I tried to upgrade my seats to delta one, but I keep getting an error message saying that there was a problem processing my request. This needs fixed.
All super easy to use and so many things that are the details you don’t think about… until you NEED them! Parking… The only thing I struggled with is a digital copy of my tickets. The app so intuitively pulled in all the data but can’t find the ticket. Not even sure if it’s a feature. LOVE the app and will probably continue to book with Delta because it’s sooooo easy!
Just spins and spins. I can sort of see my flight info but I can’t check in. Guess it’s paper boarding passes me me.
This app is trash. Oftens fails when you need it most at the gate. Fails to complete transaction attempting to book flights. Doesn’t know who you are when you initiate a help chat even when done so from within a signed in account. Difficult to find invoices for expense reports. If my time wasn’t stretched so thin I could go on all day about why this entire app is trash. Developers, maybe try checking out other apps in the world and see how some are decent and some are total trash, and then use the better ones as inspiration… P.s. it has been over 3 years since the last time I told you your app was trash, and yet it has not improved at all, in fact no discernible changes have been made at all.
